Harmi Sushi — Restaurant in Darien

Our Family has dined and ordered carryout a few times. It’s definitely our favorite Restaurant for Korean and Japanese Cuisine. We spent an early Father’s Day Celebration dinner. We ordered Sushi and Korean dishes. The sushi is so fresh. It’s accompanied with their own home made soy sauce! The Korean dishes: Kalbi, Bulgogi and Korean pancakes were delicious! The food presentation is artistic and pleasing to your palate. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and very spacious. The Staff is amazing from our attentive Servers Emma 💕(and Sydney), the talented Chefs and the Co-Owner Kristi!! Missed the other Co-Owner, Soun and his history lesson!! We were excited to see Harmi open in Darien and were looking forward to trying it. Pleasant place, decent food, but overpriced for odd portions.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and eclectic music. Food had good flavors, was fresh, and was enjoyable on the whole.

Karaage fish was plentiful, had good flavor, but was soggy from the watery miso dressing on the salad next to it Bulgogi bowl was tasty but had a small amount of beef and one single piece of zucchini. $13 tempura appetizer was okay but included a total of 2x shrimp, 2x pieces of broccoli, 2x slices of sweet potato, and 2x onion rings.

$70 for 1x appetizer + 2x entrees (including a reasonable tip) is too much for the quality, makeup, and...

Solid eating. Did take out for the family. Got some specialty rolls, 2 bowl entrees, and 2 lunchbox special. The roll and dishes that have raw fish was fresh. The rolls had great presentations and did not fall apart after the long drive home. It was noted by my in law that there were some subtle plum(?) seasoning within one of the rolls which gave my in law a pleasant surprise. My mother in law have a sensitive taste, but spoke highly of the bulgogi lunchbox. We really enjoy the food and it speak volume when the in-law asked for more info on Harmi. The in-laws are very rough critic when it come to Japanese/Korean...
