I loved the Padrino's personal pizzas we got, the crusts were wonderfully crispy and the toppings were sumptuous!
The tuna pizza with onion and olives was very savory, with a nice complex flavor, and really hit a number of cravings all at once. The Padrino's Supreme featured a pleasant Candian bacon with a smoky taste that wasn't too salty, savory tomato slices, juicy sweet corn, and aromatic sesame seeds that added to the overall wonderful flavor. We carried out a simple pepperoni personal pizza, which was quickly wolfed down. Their crusts were nice and crispy, with just the right amount of singe to add character, but still chewy in the middle. Every pizza we had was EXCELLENT - above and beyond our expectations.
My cyberpunk homie got a Viennese-style cappuccino, featuring Julius Meinl Austrian espresso beans, and she really enjoyed it. They had a bunch of Dadu ice cream treats (including the awesome black currant) which are a Lithuanian staple, and some imported European drinks. Paired with a fun Eurobeat soundtrack, which wasn't too loud for the small dining room, I really enjoyed having lunch at Padrino's.
The restaurant was really clean, the lighting is great (half of the restaurant is all window), the chairs were particularly comfortable, their bathroom was spotless, and the staff were very cordial. They share a parking lot with Dunkin', which isn't very big, but there are plenty of parking spots on the other side of the plaza near Brookhaven Market. From northbound Cass Ave, turn left on Plainfield Rd and enter near Brookhaven Market, because the entrance on Cass is only accessible by southbound traffic. Also, be careful in the lot in front of Padrino's, as the Dunkin' drive-thru traffic can get heavy.
I'm glad we stopped by, our lunch at Padrino's was excellent. The place is nice, the location is convenient, the staff seemed pretty cool, and - man - the food was excellent! I can't wait to get...
Read moreLook I used to have such a positive experience with this place until today. I will no longer be a returning customer.
We noticed the new installation outside of these swing chairs and me my friends wanted to check it out. We saw 2 girls who were their for like 30 minutes and politely asked how long they would be on it. They allowed us to go sit there. Again we weren’t planning on staying the whole time. After 5 minutes a blonde older looking lady with blue eyes said how it wasn’t fair that we kicked off the girls to go sit on the swing while they had food from the place. And how we weren’t allowed to sit there. We did have Dunkin drinks in our hand but I was thinking of getting a food item outside. I was going to order something but the way she talked made me confident on not returning. She kicked us out and to be quite honest it seemed a bit petty. She was very rude, sour, and arrogant when explaining that we could not sit outside on the swing chairs. Where I’ve seen kids not with Padrionos food sit down as well.
And to be quite honest their slices of cheese pizza are a bit overpriced with how thin it is. 5 dollars for a thin slice of pizza with no toppings...
Read moreCollege memories kickin' in. After 7 years I had a taste of Padrino's pizza, which I never even thought could be possibility in USA, since it's from Serbia. Had it last time in Novi Sad at College and went in today to double check if it's still same as it used to be. I wasn't dissapointed at all, ordered capricciosa(the real deal in Serbia). I had big size pizza fresh from oven, taste is really what I wanted, salty, cheesy and not heavy like most pizzas in USA. If you want to have a taste of Serbian (Eastern European) pizzeria, this place is no doubt the right one. Beside capricciosa I saw a great choice which is Prosciutto-Arugula which I'm gonna have next time. Crepe stand is also traditional like everywhere in Eruope. So this place could be a great spot for having a cup of coffee and something sweet as well. Indoors has a lot of windows so it makes it great for brunch, outdoor is also a good option with...
