We held a baby sprinkle last night for a friend at the Granola Bar in Darien - I cannot say enough great things about how it went!
The General Manager, Kelly Portu, was super responsive when I inquired about holding a small gathering there. She got me in touch with Jenn Krug, Director of Catering to help plan the event.
Jenn was integral in making the sprinkle feel extra special. She helped me with picking out the pre fixe menu for the 12 guests, as well as designed a beautiful menu card for each guest - it was beyond what I’ve seen other restaurants do for something like this. She was super responsive and friendly in all her communication. I asked lots of questions and she was patient with me! :)
I’m so pleased with how the dinner turned out. From the friendly table service, to the delicious food, and the environment - it was the perfect place to host a special ladies night. I am so excited to have the Granola Bar in Darien and I’m sure it will be a go-to for many future celebrations!
Thank you Kelly, Jenn and the rest of the Granola Bar team for making it a...
Read moreThe place is new and in a space where every business at that site has lasted an average of two years. Not sure why. I know it’s new but I’ve tried it three times Once for huevos rancheros and it was bland, tasteless and luckily I had a bottle of Tabasco sauce in my car Secondly, was a Good Date smoothie The container had all these bits of date pits some large some small but that was the only evidence of date as it had no real date taste or flavor. We called and they did offer to make good. Lastly my friend surprised me with a granola/yogurt parfait and next day asked me how it was “please tell me honestly” I said it wasn’t great and she said hers was awful Yes, honestly it was awful yogurt and tasteless granola- it tastes old. I hope they succeed but I think if they had one great store instead of multiple sites...

Moved from an outside seat to an inside seat due to the cool weather and the servers never communicated with each other about the change. Once we were assigned a new server, while he was very nice, he was completely inattentive. We talked for 45 mins after completing our meal before finally finding the server ourselves and asking for the check. Not to mention the wooden chairs inside are very...
