Ordered a pizza online, paid full price(then saw a TV commercial for any pizza 50% off when ordered online). Then when I went to go pick it up I stated that the 50% off did not get applied to me, so Juan stated that I would receive a free medium pizza since he could not refund me cash, I watched him enter all the information on the computer. I was told that when i order next that alls i had to do was enter the same phone number in and it would come up free. I was satisfied up until I went to redeem my pizza less than a week later. I made my order online but said I was going to pay cash, this was carry out. The free pizza didn't not work so I called and stated that I had been given a free pizza voucher and that I just ordered online, figuring they could just cash out the pizza and use the voucher. They asked what pizza I ordered, I told them 1 topping pan pizza, pepperoni. I got there and didn't bring my wallet with me because it was late and I didn't think I needed it. When I got there a man with no name tag served me. He claimed his name was juan & that he was the general manager, but I do not believe him as he had No nametag and looked very unprofessional. He also had two pizzas for me when I told him my order( I only ordered one). He had a smirk on his face and was rudely refusing to give me the free pizza I technically paid for the last time I ordered. He told me I needed to pay for the pizza I ordered online in order to get the free one. I ended up getting very frustrated as he sat there laughing VERY UNPROFESSIONALLY. The lady in line behind me heard the whole thing and was so upset with what they were treating me like that she refused to do business with them or to ever return. So they were left with my 1 pizza plus the 1 they made by mistake , and the entire order from the lady behind me. After the online ordering messed up my order, i called the store to be accommodated for my food error. Not looking for anything free, i requested a new sandwich because im allergic to mushrooms... I ordered at 130am and received my food at 2am.. After noticing my oven baked sandwich was not plain with only meat and cheese i called to explain my food error and be accommodated. Instead of understanding how the online order was a simple error the night manager jaun told me that is the way i ordered it and if i wanted the right sandwich only meat and cheese id have to pay additional fees. THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO, HE CONTINUED TO SAY... I told him that it is ridiculous that he didn't understand my problem or do what he could to accommodate me.. So at 215am i walked 6 blocks to the store for my refund.. Vowing to never buy food from dominoes again... After 20 mins of walking i reached the store. I sat my food on the desk and simply requested the $20.55 i payed the driver. Jaun continued to try to explain how it was my fault and at that point i didn't care. Having to work at 11am and walking up to a store at 2:15am for a simple fix but was denied, i didnt need to hear anything else. He placed $15.55 on the desk with an attitude after i placed the $5 the driver gave me on the desk with my food and requested the $20. Bill and my 55cents.. It was just very ridiculous at the extent i had to go at 2:15am just because a night shift leader failed to give good customer service.. Having to walk up to the store was my only option. Read moreWe have shopped with Dominos at this location for over a year now. It was our go-to place for pizza for our weekly movie nights, as every other place in our local area failed to provide at least basic customer service. We ordered around 2-4 times a month, never going below 50 dollars for a Delivery.
That ended today.
We ordered a few pastas and pies, paid a large tip as we appreciate our drivers, having done the job ourselves when we were younger, and waited for the door bell to ding in front of our home, as last time.
What I got was informed that the pizza was Delivered, was no doorbell dinged nor any indication the food was here. I thought "Huh maybe its at the neighbor's house by mistake?" and ran outside. The food was placed right in front of my screen door, no driver in sight and one of the pies had to be tossed due to ants taking advantage of free grub.
I called, annoyed that I am, and was informed that the Driver was "watching us pull the food in" from the drive-way. We live in the city, and do NOT have a drive-way to our front door.
I am just going to count the money as lost, as fighting with people over food full of bugs is not my idea of a good way to end a long day, and never come back to this place again.
While I am positive no one at this workplace will have lost anything of value from me going to a competitor, I hope anyone reading this at least considers going to pick up the food instead of waiting on a driver to abandon your food somewhere near...
