I came through the drive thru because I made a pick up order through doordash. I went up to the speaker and said my name and I had a pickup for my order on doordash. This was not a delivery doordash it was a pick up for my food. The lady said I had to go inside to pick up my order and I went up to the window and said I didn’t want to go in because of covid so I asked if there was any way they could give me my food through the window. The worker was super nice and said let me go get someone. The guy manager for what I’ve been told his name was Chris. Was SUPER rude I explained to him I didn’t wanna go in because of covid and he rudely yelled that if I didn’t want to go in to pick it up to cancel my order and get out of the drive thru because I’m holding up the line. (There wasn’t anyone behind me). Given there’s is a pandemic going on they treated this situation so unprofessional. I called the store to attempt to get the guy managers name (Chris) Vanessa answered the phone and wouldn’t tell me I had to repeatedly ask. She kept trying to explain the situation for him instead of him apologizing, a manager shouldn’t speak to customers that way at all. I just wanted his name to make a report, she did apologize however it would’ve been nice with an apology from him. I’ve worked in retail I know how days can get, but how I was treated today was truly unacceptable and I would not recommend this...
Read moreHave constantly had problems with ordering on-line with both Davenport Panera Restaurants. Today was the all-time worst experience. Management staff has zero problem solving skills, therefore could not locate the order after 15 minutes wait time at restaurant. Phoned store. By phone, they could not resolve where the order was by name. Wanted the order number, however a bit hard to provide while in a moving vehicle. Stopped in restaurant. GM explained that unless a customer has the name on the order absolutely 100% correct when picking up, there's nothing they can do. The last name is two words, however the ticket was printed with only one word of the last name. Identifying that was the case was above their problem solving skills not once, not twice but three times. No apology. No offer to take a few minutes and try to rectify my name information in the Panera on-line system so this situation can be avoided in the future as my business is valued. No gift card offered. Will not be a future customer of this restaurant. If you haven't tried McAlister's Deli yet...you owe it to yourself to do so. They get it right when it comes to...
Read moreI visited the Panera closest to me on the corner of Elmore and Kimberly Road recently for a late night tea before bed. I needed the same tonight, but found myself further into Davenport after a shopping trip after work. This was the closest cafe still open, so that's where I went.
This Panera is definitely very similar to the one closest to my home. Clean and comfortable table and booth seating throughout, a drop ceiling with 2x2 tiles containing a mix of recessed and accent lighting, and a pair of comfier chairs in one corner. This space also has a fireplace with actual fire. That was pretty cool.
I got my tea and a chocolate chip cookie and plopped down into one of the comfy chairs to read a little reddit and relax for a moment. Not much more to say about the tea or cookie. The tea was what I'd expect from Republic of Teas and the cookie tastes like a cookie from Panera. If you know, you know...you know? If you don't know, try a tea and cookie at a Panera. It's one of my favorite snacks.
If I'm in the area, I'd definitely come back here again. It's a Panera, and a good Panera at that. Thanks...
