Very bizarre experience all the way around. Idk if it’s because it is a new restaurant or what but the service was terrible. I got a glass of wine- was talked into a bottle (half off night) and got that almost immediately. When he finished pouring, he took the bottle back inside? I asked two servers about it- each said they would get it back out. When the manager came back out, he joked about how I needed my wine so badly. Funny thing is, we still didn’t have our water or my bf’s beer. After we order and wait a bit, the manager comes back to ask what we ordered. We wait. (Obv a mix up in kitchen) Whatever, we get our food every thing is good. Then we wait for check. The check comes and it’s totally wrong so we send the server back. The server comes back with a fixed check but they are still charging us for a completely different and more expensive bottle of wine. Saying it evened out, but it definitely didn’t. He finally understood and goes back to fix it again. He brings it back and we notice an “ice fee” on the check for $10 something. I was so over it I went inside and asked what it was. Turns out the “ice fee” on your check is added gratuity. My suggestions: 1. If you’re going to have 2+ people serving a table then make sure they are communicating. 2. You don’t need to take in a bottle of red wine back inside ( its sketchy and we know you prob just forgot). Don’t act like I was needy when we asked very nicely twice for our drinks. 3. Stop adding gratuity to small party tables. It’s tacky. Anyone eating there is willing to tip. I get your system may be doing it, but if you’re up and running you should know that’s something to be fixed ASAP. Otherwise it comes off as deceitful. I wonder how many people have double tipped.... also, if that IS actually your system and you really can’t figure it out (unlikely) then you should ATLEAST be telling your customers that there is gratuity included in the bill. So yeah, disappointing from...
Read moreThis must all be very old reviews, or friends of the people who work here. Just came from dinner there. Two old ladies on the road trip to Florida. We walked in, gave our order. When we looked online there seemed to be a lot of gluten free options which was necessary. When we got there, the girls seem to know that most of the foods were not gluten-free, and weree unable to go back and check to see if any accommodations could be made. So we chose the only things they had with the GF label next to them, and of course sent the sauces back when they came out filled with soy sauce. None of the staff was masked or gloved, and the he Gen Y folks working also did not have their hair tied back, which is federal law in restaurants. Summer rolls came right away and they were fine. Nothing that we don't get anywhere else except they were served with way too little sauce to cover the roll. My girlfriend got spring rolls as well and said they were good. I order the fries because that was the only gluten-free option if I didn't want little spring rolls. I waited and waited and waited. Twice, or maybe three times, when I asked the waitstaff what the holdup was they told me the problem was that the food had to be cooked. Since it was a restaurant I kind of thought that cooking food would be part of their usual routine. Anyway, it wasn't until I told them that I wanted my money refunded and was going to go elsewhere that they stopped preparing take out got to mine. I had a perfect line view to the prep area, so I'm sure about the hair, gloves, masks, attitudes. The whole experience was awful, the food adequate, and again no accommodations made which would have been easy. They could have offered us the steamed shrimp with the rice bowls or the noodle bowls instead of telling us that nothing was available. Next time I come through here, I'm going to the Kabob place up the street. Or the Brew Pub down the strip. Or basically anywhere except here. I star...
Read moreI recently visited Café Hello Me and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Upon arrival, I waited for a few minutes for someone to take my takeaway order, but there was no staff visible for about 3-4 minutes. When someone finally appeared, it was clear they were unfamiliar with the menu. I had to show waiter a photo of the menu from Google Maps to help place my order. Despite the lack of service, I gave the staff member an advance tip.
While waiting for my order, I decided to sit on one of the high chairs. However, I soon discovered that the back of the chair was broken, and I nearly fell onto the ceramic floor. Startled by this, I informed another staff member in the hope that they would check the other chairs for safety. Instead of addressing the issue, she began to argue that the chair was fine, which led to an uncomfortable exchange where I had to physically show her how the back of the chair fell back with the slightest touch.
A third staff member then appeared, but without introducing herself, she insisted that the chair was in perfect condition before I sat down. At this point, I had to demonstrate that another chair next to me had a sturdy back that didn’t move with a light touch. This staff member eventually left without saying a word.
In conclusion, the service was lacking, with a noticeable absence of professionalism and attention to detail. The staff seemed inattentive, and the overall experience didn’t meet the standards you’d expect for the prices charged. On the positive side, the food was decent, and I appreciate the efforts of the kitchen staff. However, based on my experience, Café Hello Me has a lot of room for improvement in both service and...
