Update: dropped another star because they got rid of all drink specials. Now it's a place I'd come once every couple months instead of weekly. :( "YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT" is what one of the workers (I'll call her Jersey Shore due to her looks and demeanor) yelled at me when I came down stairs to let them know one of their taps was only spitting out foam. Well Jersey Shore, guess what? I'm not paying $8 for 5oz of foam and 3oz of beer. Thankfully a younger guy went up stairs and resolved the situation by getting me a beer that wasn't completely foam. Most of the time service has been excellent with the staff being happy to provide recommendations, clear away used glasses quickly, and once even brought me napkins, plates, and plasticware when ordering from the food truck. But I'll always remember how Jersey Shore yelled at me every time I go to this place. I have been here around 10 times, and for the most part it's excellent! The place has great vibes with TVs, games, and table shuffleboard. The upstairs space is great when it's not too hot. I love that you can just place your card in one of the tip boxes on your way out and don't have to worry about checking out. It would be nice if they did sample sized glasses so I didn't have to feel bad about using a full pint glass for only 2oz of beer, but it doesn't seem to bother them so I guess it shouldn't bother me. I'll keep coming back and enjoying the place, but it would be nice if all staff was trained to be problem solvers looking to provide a great customer experience rather than being confrontational.

Tapped into Perfection! Move over, regular bars – I've found my new happy place at Overflow! It's like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, but for craft beer/cider/seltzer lovers. I mean, who needs a golden ticket when you've got a self-pouring wonderland? Walking in, I felt like a kid in a candy store, except the candy is hoppy and comes in a glass. The self-pour setup is genius – it's like being your own bartender, which means I can sample a little bit of everything and finally pretend I know how to pour a perfect glass. The selection is mind-blowing. I hopped (pun intended) from one tap to another, discovering flavors like an adventurous explorer with a beer compass. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, making it impossible not to relax and savor every sip. They had a food truck on site and even a live one-man-band with great music!

First time at OverFlow and it was a great experience. Beautiful views and sunset under heaters and warmed by a fire pit, with soft blankets provided for additional comfort. You'll see discussion about the cost of the beer - if you do the math you'll see that it is actually cheaper than any other bar for a quality craft beer. You pay for what YOU pour, and it's a 16oz glass with NO froth...not a 12oz glass in a bar with 2oz of froth and an oz of air left at the top! Love the concept - try as many as you like and pay as you pour...note too that it is cumulative - what you owe does not reset for each pour, but starts with what you finished after the last pour. Go and enjoy yourselves and ignore the dumb reviews about price. 👍🙂🍻

UPDATE (8/7/2024) There is something so offensive about a business replying to a bad review and starting off with a lie. They claim they can’t find me in their system yet somehow my credit card was charged. And to make matters worse, they’re just full of excuses. They claim that you can turn in your pour card at the front desk but no one was at the desk when I left so the only option was to use the boxes and tip for the service I did not receive. They could have used their response to properly make amends and try to win back a customer but they’d rather do this instead. Truly disappointing.

If I could give this place zero stars I absolutely would. I’ve seen it from I77 quite a few times and yesterday, finally had the chance to try it when I met some girlfriends there. It was so disappointing. First of all, the hosts are completely disengaged to the point of almost being rude. It’s a niche concept but there’s no welcome spiel to explain how anything works, not even the card. They just charge you, slap the card in your hand, and keep it moving. So, of course, the first time I tap the card then try to pour, it doesn’t work. I figure out that I have to keep the card on the sensor while pouring which leads me to totally over pour my wine and get charged over $17. Unfortunately, there isn’t anyone around to help so I just accept that I’m over paying for very mediocre wine and go about my evening. The lack of service is particularly egregious when you consider that you are basically forced to tip the people who have provided you no service at all. I seat myself, I pour my own beverages, there’s no food. Yet, when I rerun the card to the boxes, I have to choose my tip percentage. That’s absolutely disgusting. I feel like I was robbed by this place and certainly won’t be returning. It could be a nice concept but it’s very...

This place has changed. I used to visit all of the time and LOVED it. However, there are a few things that will make me not want to go back:

They now allow children, which has changed the atmosphere. What used to be an upscale bar vibe now feels like a family fun day with yard games. I am not saying this is bad, but it’s made it feel much less upscale.

They have a sign that says “no children allowed on rooftop,” but there were several people with children on the rooftop…

-Beer selection has gone downhill. I love sour beers, but there are only 2-4 sour beers at a time.

-Beer Temperature? I noticed many of my pours were room temperature. This was a massive letdown because you expect a nice cold beer.

-Lack of staff. There used to be 3-4 employees going around and picking up glasses and helping you with selections. It may have just been the day I visited, but only ONE employee was managing the entire place. Used glasses were everywhere because of this. I don’t blame her because it’s clear this place is understaffed.

-Music!! It may sound silly, but if it’s a Saturday afternoon/evening, music should be fun like it used to be here. Now it feels like they are going for a mellow coffee shop vibe, which makes it dull…

-Seating. It was most likely due to the rain the night before and the lack of staffing. But none of the furniture outside was prepared for customers to sit even tho it was a beautiful day.

Overall, this place still has so much potential. It’s a beautiful venue and a fantastic concept. But the reasons above demonstrate the...
