I used to live in central miami where there’s usually many nicaraguan fritangas almost everywhere and decided to move to Broward county where fritangas are very hard to find so let me share my point of view and the reason why I rate this place 2 stars .. I ask for carne asada with gallo pinto sweet plantains and queso frito and just to start I paid $21 dollars plus $2 in tips and let me tell you I see this plate extremely expensive where the queso frito is very small .. i got three pieces of sweet plantains 2 strips of carne and the gallo pinto has got to be the worst I ever tried that I just threw it away …. The gallo pinto had so much onion and not talking about little pieces but large chunks of onion … im from nicaragua and let me tell you gallo pinto does not have so much onion to the point that if you decide to eat it you will spent some tome picking up the chunks of onion .. the taste was not very tasteful the cheese even thou it was very small if was very good .. dont get me wrong but what really threw me off what the price $ 21 dollars when every fritanga in miami YAMBO ..pinolandia.. la fritanga .. and many more they usually charge $15 and some places $13 … i would never go back to this place and I just have to keep looking if I ever find a fritanga in the plantation tamarac coral...

It was cooked perfectly, but it was only lukewarm to my preference. Overall, the taste was good. The tajadas and mariquitas weren’t crunchy—they were soggy. My wife ordered carne asada and asked for it well done, but it arrived medium. Maybe in a Nicaraguan restaurant, temperature isn’t a big deal—"just eat it," as they say!
I encourage you to try it out, but don’t expect Miami Pinolandia. Support Hispanic...
Read moreThis was our first meal arriving in South FL. Felt like we were deprived of awesome food for ages! There's nothing like eating food from back home(Latin America)...comfort food. We are Honduran but Nicaraguan food is similar not identical. Everything was so well seasoned and filling. I devoured almost all my food. My cousin's ate their food in the car. Sorry we took no pics. We got our money's worth of food. That fried cheese made my soul happy dance!!! This place is new from what we heard but definitely worth the try. I could go for more now! That carne asada with rice/beans, plantains, salad(cabbage)...my stomach is grumbling hunger... thinking of this food. Their desserts looked so good( arroz con leche, flan, tres leches) and beers. Plenty of take out...
