Not sure where to start! The place has been open for business 53 years!!! The wonderful owner and beautiful gals helping were spectacular!
Coming from a small town, working in customer service, owning a business⦠you donāt find hidden gems like this often! I struck gold here!
More than helpful, patient, accommodating, educational, and professional! Iād recommend this place to everyone!
The negative reviews Iāve read⦠not accurate at all! I witnessed them work with a mentally disabled person. Not once seemed higher than he when he asked a million questions, adjusted his necklace size, prices on items that were tagged. Rather, helped him!
Yea, no music⦠learn to socialize! We were there for over an hour and conversed. They educated us! Be open to meeting new people, asking questions and learning.
They had an abundance of all sorts of specimens⦠large, small, raw, faceted, drilled, etc!
Not Overpriced! Rather, they support purchasing from like businesses selling like items. If you donāt own a business, donāt Judge right now! Itās a hard thing to do and compete with wholesale and corporations! Keep in mind, āin business OVER 53 YEARSā! The owner is 80+! Working everyday and doing what she loves, because it brings her joy helping others! Do yourself a favor and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEver since visiting the gem and mineral room in the American Museum of Natural History as a kid I have been obsessed with them. I love their colors, crystals, and mystical properties. I was eager to visit the Crystal Cave Rock & Gem Shop to see what they had. There aren't too many places like this in my area and I think they have one of the best collections in Broward County.
According to their website they are a family owned business that has been in business since 1972. They specialize "in mineral specimen, cut gemstones, cutting rough (for cabochon, and faceting), metaphysical tools, lapidary equipment, books, jewelry, and gifts." They also have fossils and petrified wood.
Prices range from as little as $1 to many thousands of dollars. There was so much to look at, huge pieces of amethyst, colorful geodes, and loose mixed gems. They had my favorite peacock copper ore. I also loved their jewelry, they had some nice gem necklaces for only $10. Perfect for the next time I need a gift. There was a lot of staff around eager to help if you had a question.
They are open Tuesday through Friday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm and we are closed Sunday and Monday. Come...
Ā Ā Ā Read morei went there today and the general vibe of the place was so COLD and unwelcoming. it was completely silent, no music was playing and the staff were just eyeing my friend and i the entire time as if we were going to steal something. not friendly at all, didn't offer any greeting or good bye, just silently stared at us- it was so unwelcoming. customer service was bleh. i hate to drag on prices but it is SUPER pricey-a small rose quartz tumble was $7. i get it's a small business but other small businesses such as etsy will definitely have better prices. i can understand expensive prices from small businesses but i would not spend that much on a place so unwelcoming. i wouldn't recommend this place for beginner crystal users or people who collect crystals...
