Not happy. The food was VERY poor for the price, the meat was very fatty. Their prices did not match what was listed on their on line menu.
I offered to bring lunch for a visit to my daughter and her husband. I ordered the 3 combination of chicken, pork and duck. The listed price on the on-line menu was $19.95. When I got there I was charged $36!!! I also ordered the pork fried rice and they overcharged me for that also. The total bill was $50.18. When I asked about the price differences, they told me "the prices just changed". I showed them the on line prices on my phone. They didn't make any effort to correct it, or meet me halfway or anything. I was in a bind because I offered lunch for my family so I reluctantly made the purchase and left.
When we opened the box to have our lunch, I was totally embarrassed. The "meat" was all skin and fat and bone. It looked like left over scraps after trimming a good piece of meat. It looked like the leftovers one would put into a soup or a stock pot. It was certainly NOT entree quality meat. And definitely not worth $36. I was totally humiliated to have served this to family members, and that's why I did not take any pics. Too embarrassing.
Ok Hong's BBQ, you got me. But only once. One would think a good business model includes repeat customers, not one time only. It cost me $50 for some fatty meat and fried rice. Don't go here unless you are very wealthy. Back to Panda Xpress for me. There, for about $10, I can get enough for 2 meals and the meat is not...
Read moreOrdered online for dinner 2 pounds of Roast pork & fried rice
Price for roast pork online is $13 When I got there- they asked if I wanted pork belly or regular- I said one pound of both She said the pork belly was $2 more
I went to pay and they charged me $30 for the roast pork
I asked how $13 + $15 = $30
She then explained that they gave me more…
I then asked to see the dishes before I left to make sure I got everything I ordered. She proceeded to shove each box in my face…
The fried rice was great. My favorite dish. The roast pork was great too- not sure if it was more than 2 pounds but there was definitely one box that was leaner and one that was more fatty & pork belly.
5 stars for the food 1 star for the nickel & diming and poor responses & customer service.
Too busy and too many other options to go to a place where they don’t treat customers right…

Read moreMy quest for excellent Chinese food in South Florida is still unfulfilled. I was excited to try this restaurant because it has a very interesting menu. House special pan fried noodles are not their specialty, nor are the egg rolls. Both of which I ordered. The bill was $26.90. I lived in Los Angeles for 12 years and these pan fried noodles were subpar IMHO. They weren’t evenly heated and the goopy brown sauce was dumped on top. I’m not sure if the sauce came out of a bottle but it tasted like five Chinese spice /Hunan sauce. My palate for Chinese food is more fully developed than the Americanized version served here. There may have been one shrimp in the dish but I don’t recall seeing it. I suspect if you order barbecue pork or one of their soup dishes it may be authentic and excellent. The service Was just OK. The waitress was Chinese as well as several of the patrons. My communication was limited with her due to my limited Chinese language skills. I can’t help feeling that I got the white person meal and not the Authentic version. So unfortunately this is going to be a pass for...
