Nestled in the heart of Davie, MaMa YaTai & Donuts is a hidden gem that tantalizes taste buds with its unique fusion of Japanese flavors and delightful donuts. Let me take you on a culinary journey through our recent visit!
🌭 Corn Dogs That Crunch: We ventured to MaMa YaTai to sample their famous corn dogs, and they did not disappoint! The Tokyo chicken with cheese was my personal favorite—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly complemented by gooey melted cheese. My son's hot Cheetos version was a spicy sensation, while The Ramen with hotdog and cheese was an unexpected delight. And yes, even the bacon ranch with cheese and green rice flakes had us craving more.
🍩 Divine Donuts: MaMa YaTai takes donuts to a whole new level. The MO Matcha Oreo donut was a revelation—a delicate balance of matcha and chocolate, with a satisfying crunch. But the real star? The tangerine and strawberry tanghulu donut. Imagine a burst of citrusy tanginess paired with sweet strawberry—it was out of this world!
🏆 Service and Atmosphere: The friendly staff at MaMa YaTai made our experience memorable. They guided us through the menu, suggesting delightful combinations. The cozy ambiance, adorned with Japanese-inspired decor, added to the overall charm.
🍬 Tanghulu: A Burst of Sweetness** The tangerine and strawberry tanghulu donut at MaMa YaTai & Donuts was a revelation! Imagine plump, juicy strawberries coated in a glossy, crackling sugar shell. Each bite was a delightful balance of sweetness and tanginess. It's the kind of treat that transports you to a sunny orchard, with the flavors dancing on your taste buds. Trust me, you won't want to miss this tanghulu—it's pure bliss! 🍓🍊
Verdict: MaMa YaTai & Donuts is a must-visit for foodies seeking bold flavors and creative twists. Whether you're a corn dog enthusiast or a donut aficionado, this place has something to satisfy every craving. We're already planning our next visit—because once you've tried MaMa YaTai, you'll be back...
Read morewhen they first opened i came by and the service was amazing. despite long lines out the door they took everyones orders and made sure they came out on time. it always tastes good, dont get me wrong, but the last two times i went it wasnt even busy and i still waited for 30-40 minutes while watching people with larger orders get their food before me. the first time i waited it was me and two other girls (strangers) waiting for over half an hour, and the last time it was just me. i watched as my food was marked as ready on the online queue but when they called out my name half my order was missing. i asked about the other part of my order, and they said it would be right out so i waited. the employees at the register were reminded twice by their own coworkers to make the other half of my order, and it wasn't until i walked up and asked for an estimated wait time that they actually walked over and made it in 3 minutes. The first half of my order wasnt even warm anymore and i had to microwave it at home. I'll update the review if the service gets any better next...
Read moreOh let me get started with these supercalifragilisticexpialidocious donuts. I live nearly an hour away from their shop and I had the best experience ever for a donut shop.
The donuts were fresh, beautiful, and mad delicious. So delicious it'll make you cry.
I got the 6 pack of their choosing for my family. We all shared one donut before hitting the road again and that first bite was heavenly. Even my mom who's diabetic said this is worth the extra blood sugar.
And you know what I did first when I got home? Eat half of them. Cheat day? More like cheat yay!
But let's talk about the store and the staff. The ambiance, decor, and service was top tier. Andy is my go to man and his recommendations, especially the Ube cream donut was absolutely spot on.
