I am so disappointed in this Starbucks that I have a very difficult time going into any Starbucks! I still have nightmares on how I was treated here on Feb 2. I had just left the office with a coworker when my friend called to meet up for coffee. I googled the nearest Starbucks and waited in my car for my friend to arrive while I tried to book a flight reservation. We went inside, sat down and I tried to finish the reservation instructing my friend to wait a moment for me to order.
Before I finish the reservation, a young white guy came over to us to say “ you cannot be here unless you order”. I explained, I am going to order but I’m trying to finish up something. Then came along another who said he was the manager and it’s their policy that people must order before they sit or they are trespassing. I said I understand your policy put I am trying to finish something and then I’ll place my order. He said you are trespassing and he’ll have to call the police. I watched him call the police and described us. By now I was very upset but kept calm because I was clearly profiled. We were the only 2 black people inside. There were other people and most did not have a drink or food. (I don’t know if they ordered before or after). One young lady came in after us and just sat down as we waited for the cops to arrive.
The cops came and told us they got called that we were trespassing, it’s a private property and we had to leave. As he walked us out the doors, clearly dismayed, we were venting our frustration and disappointment in what seemed to be obvious profiling and possibly ego from the employees (one was in training), one officer apologized that it was his first time seeing this but he got called. (We were not loud, troublesome, rude or disruptive to anyone in the establishment). I am a a professional in the county and my friend is a law enforcement officer off duty in another county at the time. Nevertheless, the officers and my friend had a great conversation in front of the store, only to realize my friend knew his dad who was also in law enforcement while I finished my reservation and joined the conversation. Again, all Starbucks is not the same but my experience here in this Starbucks was unbelievably in these days. Shame on...
Read moreI would never buy anything else from Starbucks. I used to love Starbucks. I would buy coffee morning, afternoon, evening and twice more before they closed. Would literally spend over $40 a day on coffee. I haven't tried anything else because I'm allergic to berries, I don't like lemonade or kiwi. Only like a frappe, so I do nothing hot and I don't eat their breakfast there just their coffee. (which I explained to the manager there, That wasn't dressed in uniform) Before getting pregnant I would bring my coworkers there to enjoy coffee with me. And we would sit and discuss what was going on at work. Not everybody bought something, which was the best part about being there you can bring employees and talk about the business or work from home at the coffee shop or in my case read a good book in peace. This may have been my first time going to this location. But because of your new policies, I won't be coming back to any Starbucks. Like I said I am pregnant. I can no longer drink coffee. And I should not be forced to buy complimentary water to stay at the coffee shop period, if it's really come to this, then you have truly lost a valued customer. Just because I was going to be out for 9 months wasn't meaning I wasn't coming back. Now I really am not coming back because I don't feel welcome. Y'all kicking people out for not making purchases. You should be ashamed of yourself to scoop that low. I wasn't even there 4 minutes and since I've been pregnant all I've been complaining about is not being able to have Starbucks coffee. But there are other coffee shops other than Starbucks. After my 9 months. I'll be going to another...
Read moreToday In the morning when I was on my way to work I stopped by this Starbucks and bought two drinks, a muffin and a gouda bacon sandwich, because it turned out that when I went to eat my sandwich it was frozen, obviously I had to stay without breakfast because I no longer It was possible for me to return since I had to work.Once my shift was over, I returned and explained the situation by letting the manager know. ,, Well, she told me that he was sorry that he could not change the sandwich for a drink because the price was different, the question is the following, who spoke of the price here ???? and whoever gives me back my lost time and not having stayed without breakfast for them has done their job so badly Then a supposed manager named NICK attends me, which I do not know if it is true because she was not wearing her uniform and much less a name tag that would identify her, because this same person named NICK The least she can be is a manager because to be one,, she needs A lot of professionalism, an excellent costumer service, and an adequate presentation to your customers, it is necessary to tell you that this complaint will also be sent to corporation, because I do not think it was the best way to respond to me and to resolve the situation in which they...
