Big John Steak & Onion — Restaurant in Davison Township

Where's the meat? Seriously I order 2 subs $21,and honestly the bun was touching when closed.. Super steak and cheese and a steak and cheese add mushrooms. It was ridiculous walking into the store, with 8 people waiting in the three-ring circus behind the counter with no organization trying to fill the orders. One kept saying we don't have enough steak. The other kept saying I got you. I got you. The super steak, in my opinion, had enough meat for a regular steak and cheese. Steak, cheese and mushroom sandwich. When I unwrapped it at home, the bun was touching each other. There was barely any meat in there. I am so sick and tired of high pricing and low volume. Low quality food or merchandise. Maybe we need to adjust these prices? Because $11 for an 8 inch. Sub with no meat on, it is a joke. And you wonder why I don't want to support your business. You walk in there is a picture on the wall with the founder of the company, and it talks about how generous portions were given to feed the people. This needs to be addressed. Now let's address the dining area if you walk in. It appears to be somewhat clean. But look up at the ceiling you will see all the vents are covered in dirt. Several of the tables had remnants of somebody eating .9-12-25@715pm , when I visited this store. Don't worry I won't be back. But honestly, look at your portion control. Maybe come up with a system where you have to pre. Measure, because whoever is building the sandwiches, there shorting the customers for the price they're paying for that sandwich, and money is too damn Hard to come...

This place is extremely racist. I can't believe the experience I just had. Im sitting in front of the restaurant leaving this review. Im very upset. I walk in, and 4 employees are standing at the counter looking at me as though they were disgusted. None of them said hello. I said, "hi I have an order for Dwayne." The guy said, "9.95 or whatever my total was." I gave him a $20 bill, he gave me $13 back. I guess my blackness had him nervous causing him to miscount. I got my food picked up my cup and began to fill it with pop. A white guy walked in and every employee that was standing at the counter welcomed him inside with SMILES ON THEIR previously disgusted faces. This is really sad and I hate that this happened to me. I've never accused anyone of being racist in my life but I don't know what else could've been their problem. I pulled up in front in a Cadillac, my hair is cut, I'm dressed really nicely, I don't look like a thug, I don't look dangerous. I look like a normal guy. Im not overweight; or super tall, or super short, im 5'11. Just a normal guy and they couldn't even bother to say hello or have a good day. The dark color of my skin was the only thing that they could've been bothered by. Never again and I hope all African Americans stay away from this...

Hate to be tough on this restaurant, Big John's always has been a safe 'go to' for a great Steak sub. But, unfortunately my take away order was missing my side dish of Mac & Cheese. Before leaving I asked girl behind counter if she had put the side in my bag, and she said yes. I ordered the largest sub with multiple cups of peppers and red sauce, so bag was pretty full. Also had my drink in other hand, so couldn't open to look through. I should have double checked, but thought asking her directly she would know. Nope! No Mac & Cheese. When I called they said I could come back or return a different day to get it. Honestly, that isn't enough to avoid a bad review. They definitely should have offered to replace my entire meal for ruining this meal, and inconvenience of returning on another day to pick up a side. Right? There was a 2nd order on the counter, so assuming she put in wrong bag, but that's not my fault. When asking her, she should have double...
