Changing my 2-star to negative 100. If i had a no star option i would check it. this place is disgusting. Coke and bake potato is the only thing "good" here. Where are these 4-star reviews coming from? are u guys ok? I'm surprised i gave it a 2-star 6 months ago. Think I was just being generous since i was new to town. Ordered the steak and bf got buffet. mashed potatoes are weird tasting. Food across the board tastes flavorless or off. In a bad way....

I wasn't impressed with this place at all. They had an all you can eat buffet. I would only go here if you are lazy one night and don't feel like driving into town for food and are sick of the limited fast food options in the area. I just moved to Dayton from Baytown and I really don't care for the selection of food out here. What really bothered me was when we came in we explained we were new after seating ourselves. The waitress basically didn't give us an option and in a friendly manner told us to make our selves at home and go to the buffet line (which was limited might I add - i would rather spend a little more for golden corral). It wasn't until we started digging in I noticed a menu. Well hell i came up there for BBQ. I was confused thinking that they only had a buffet going on since it's a small town. Next time she could do a better job and explain we have a buffet or you can order off a menu. In her defense I could of asked, but that isn't the point.

The buffet was not good. I hate to be so blunt but the mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a package. The meet was eh, no flavor. Idk i won't come back for sure unless i don't feel like cooking one night and don't feel like driving into town. In that case, I'll order a menu item that is actual BBQ...

Mike and Valerie are the absolute EPITOME of "Home Town Goodness"!!! They both visit with their patrons, making sure all is well, and not just only with their meal. They make you TRULY feel like family!!! The daily buffet is hot and fresh with SOOO many items to choose from with ALL being delicious... Now.... Let's talk BBQ! If I could give 10 STARS, I would, it's THAT dang fantastic!! Mike makes sure the brisket is tender and cut very lean! And his sauce will rock your socks off!!! Mmmm.... Desserts?? Don't mind if I do! Good luck making the choice between their HOMEMADE buttermilk pie, pecan pie, or lemon meringue pie... They also take orders for whole pies! I honestly cannot sing the praises of this establishment LOUD enough!! What more could anyone ask for... A clean restaurant, delicious food, and absolutely WONDERFUL...

Y’all. I went to Mike’s for the first time with a coworker after a recommendation from my grandma. We absolutely loved it. I came back the next day with my husband. The buffet is possibly one of the best I’ve ever had. The food is fresh and seasoned with love. We loved everything we tried. Fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and beans were reminiscent of a homemade meal from my mom. All of it, every bite, was amazing.

Our server was phenomenal, and an absolute sweetheart. Her banter made the meals all the more enjoyable.

I feel like I’m pretty picky with food, we live in Houston and have plenty of options, but I’d for sure make the drive just for the food here. If that doesn’t tell you how good it is then I don’t know what will.
