I had an issue with a DoorDash delivery from Milano's Pizza, Subs & Taps last month. They delivered my food to my neighbor, and I was less-than-impressed with the sub that I ordered. The manager, Larry, saw my post and said that I could call him. I did just that, and he offered to make it right on a future order. This was above and beyond, because the problems were mostly on DoorDash, and my personal preference of not liking their bread. He also explained to me that they have a soft roll that I could substitute for the traditional hard roll. I tried a chicken Philly on a soft roll, and the bread absolutely made a difference for me! I have to note that this sub is exactly like my last one, with all of the toppings on the outside, so I'm not really sure what's happening in their sub making process! ๐๐ I also had a spring salad that was really good. I didn't love the artichoke dip. It wasn't bad, but I've had better. I also want to give a shout out to the cashier who was taking orders that night. I didn't get his name, but he was amazing. The poor kid was new, and I'm asking him about an account credit, if they can make things that aren't on the menu, and for the soft roll, and he had to put me on hold every time to ask! ๐๐ He apologized and said that he was new, but he was so kind through all of my questioning. When I got to the restaurant to pick up my order, he was on the phone with someone asking about their hours. The person called 15 mins before close. He was telling them that it was still okay to place an order, and explaining that the kitchen closes 30 mins before the restaurant. If that had been me, I totally would have said, "Okay, bye!" and avoided that last minute order! ๐๐ He really was a stand-up employee! Between him and the manager, I'm more than happy to give this place...
ย ย ย Read moreThis sub I ordered November 4, 2024 was the worst cheesesteak sub I had ever eaten from Milanoโs. It had plenty of meat but!!!! They seem to forgot that a whole sub needs cheese on the whole sub not just one little slice on 1/2. I used to work at the original Milanoโs back in college in the 80s and how we made the cheesesteaks were so different than how they do it now, but we always made sure that there was plenty of cheese on that sub along with the cooked onions and a whole tomato all the way across not just one tomato cut in half. I stopped getting the turkey sub as I donโt know what they did to the turkey, but it was not what they used to use and when you ask for onions, you get maybe one or two and if you ask for quadruple the onions, you still get one or two slices. On the turkey sub onions add that extra pop. And you had mayo on the bottom lettuce and you had turkey a layer cheese, turkey, and a layer cheese with three slices of tomato across and some Italian seasoning not like it is today when somebody else takes over they fix something that wasnโt broken to begin with. Iโm disappointed in how this. Has allowed to happen. A lot of times the cheesecake sub is dry. Part of me wonders if itโs just whoโs cooking and how they were trained because they obviously donโt know how to make a proper cheesesteak sub or a proper turkey sub. Iโm going to question whether Iโm gonna get a sub from the Dayton store. I live out in Centerville and go to the Miami Township and theyโve had their moments. The staff was quite nice and very friendly and the atmosphere was always festive, but you need to...

Manager was rude and we were not given a credit for the very soggy sub although the waitress offered to get me something else. I took her up on that and asked for a different sub while handing over the messy remains of my lunch. The waitress offered my friend to take the second half of my sub home - I didn't want it. When the manager came to our table he was disrespectful to us. Asking if I didn't like the sub why was I taking half of it home? I explained to him that I was not taking it home - my friend was and only because the waitress offered it to her. He asked if I wanted the other sub and I said yes. He also said that they "dip the sub in au jus" and that was why it is soggy. Disgusting!! So my 6 inch tuna sub ended up costing me nearly $18!!! I know this restaurant is a local favorite but I just don't get it. I have never been a fan. Now I know I never will be. I won't recommend the Brown St Milano's to anyone just based on the poor customer service. I can over look less than stellar food but never poor customer...
