Dear Wendy's,
Just so you know, this review would have been a 5 Star review if not for the clerk at the window. We went around the drive through at 10:50 PM EST (6.7.25) and noticed the emotionless tone immediately as we were greeted with a "Order when you're ready."
My partner ask to be given a moment to think about the options and no response comes through the speaker. Next, he ask her if the strawberry lemonade was available due to the time of night. The response was a dull and monotoned, somewhat annoyed sounding "Yea."
We continue with the order, noting further apathetic emotion from the few words that she would say.
Once we pull to the window, my partner hands her the debit card. She runs the transaction and returns to the window with the card. We were making room for our drinks as something had fallen into the cupholder. The brief second she had to wait at the window with my partners card seemed like it must have been an agonizing time for her. In response to this, she simply stands at the window with my partner's card in hand, tapping it audibly with her fingernails.
Finally, she returns one last time with our food in hand. We believe that she notices the look of dissatisfaction on my partner's face and this time manages to offer a slightly friendlier, "have a nice night," before retreating from the window.
I do understand that we all have our bad days. I don't think she was intentionally being cold towards us, but you still have to be able to control these emotions.
I have had days like this, days when you don't want to see anyone, let alone random and needy costumers. Hopefully this young woman will learn to communicate better with others.
We didn't share this experience with the intentions of getting this employee in trouble, we just hope that maybe she can learn a little from it; sometimes, that's all...
Read moreThe GM there was very hateful and rude! It seemed like the employees were afraid of her! The girl at the front counter was very sweet, but the manager had zero customer service skills! If you are going to work in fast food (any type of job where you work with the public) I feel, especially the manager, should have 100% customer service. We will not be going back to this Wendy's! The order was a mobile order placed and it had been sitting there for over 30 mins I went to go pick it up and ask if they could remake it and the manager refused, so I got in touch with the customer I was picking up for and it took him calling the restaurant complaining to have her remake it. Her words "I'm not losing money by remaking this order". Is it really coming out of your pocket ma'am!? I've worked fast food and I know there is waste but usually you log it and the company gets reimbursed (not sure how Wendy'sdoes it). After she remade the order I ask the girl at the counter if she could remake the drink bc by then it had been close to an hour sitting, she remade the drink and then got in trouble by the manager who said "I told them not to remake the drink"! I'll add I was picking up an order for door dash and when the manager threw the order at me she said "door dash needs to get it together if there's no one available to pick the order up they don't need to send orders here" (very unprofessional). So even though I was a door dasher I still should have been treated the same as a customer! This experience makes me not want to accept orders from this Wendy's again! EDIT: This has been a while ago but it was at the Dunlap location not the Dayton I'm not sure why it says Dayton...
Read moreMy drive thru experience was terrible. First when the window opened the cashier was arguing with another Wendy's employee about how slow they were and they couldn't do their job. When I asked how much (since she didn't give me the total at the order stop) she huffed and gave the total. I gave her the amount needed. She did not give me a receipt. She continued to belittle the other employee and none to quietly. She gave us our drinks which we had ordered the same size drinks but one was larger than we had ordered but I said nothing because she was again arguing with the other employee. Then she gave me our food. I asked are the straws the bag. She said ya. I checked they were not. I asked for straws before I could say anything about the receipt she stated again about how it was the other employee fault there were no straws the bag. I pulled away looked in the bag there no napkins no spoon for the frosty. When I called and asked to speak to the manager guess who was the manager. The girl at the window. Now I must say I have been there as a dine in and it has not been like this. But today was out of hand and they have lost my business. Unacceptable behavior...
