It is very rare, very rare that I give a restaurant all five stars on all three topics food service and atmosphere. A lot of people receive the impression that this restaurant is pricey. At lunch time from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. they have a lunch deal for $7 you can get a plate of great Caribbean food. I think that is a wonderful price. The food quality is superb. It could be a little bit more packed for the lunch but not much complaining besides that. Also they're all you can eat buffet is $30. I noticed a lot of people said that's a bit pricey on the high end but when you find out that they are serving all you can eat quality and season perfectly oxtails, then it makes sense that the $30 is not actually pricey it's actually a great deal. Everyone knows if you go out to any other Jamaican restaurant and order the oxtail dinner you're paying between 15 to $25 for that dinner because you know how those oxtails go. That's why $30 all you can eat is slightly above that but yet it can be never ending. If there was no oxtail in this buffet then $30 will be on the high end. I actually love the cabbage and they have perfect fried sweet plantains. I absolutely love their spicy barbecue chicken version. Their regular barbecue chicken is on point with the flavor on that glaze. Very satisfying glazed flavor. When you add the spice to it it's even better. They're beef stew on point especially spicy. They got a little bit of dessert strawberry ice cream chocolate already packaged in cups ready to eat. They got the salad bar and the fruit bar. Everything is there from that Caribbean experience. I am a big eater and I made one complete plate full with everything on the buffet but just a little bit of all of it on one plate and when I ate that it hit the full meter really quickly. I try to go for a second plate but I can only get scraps on my second plate before I move to the fruits and dessert. I'm loving their soda fountain fully on 100% carbonated. You're sweet tea is amazing. I ended up getting a bubbly story and sweet tea and mix them together. They have a back room hangout bar with Domino tables. Big screen TVs for sports or music listening and video watching. I thought I was in my own personal Caribbean nightclub. The waitress were amazing especially Gonzalez. The front hostess at the front door, truly superb service and appearance. Bathroom was spacious and clean. The floor has white tiles of brightness and cleansiness and the buffet tables also are outlined with white tiles. I believe everything was outlined with white so that when people get food from the buffet tables and spill it on the side, with those bright white tiles you can see any stain or mess and it gets cleaned up immediately. That's why I think that the tiles are shiny white for quick detectable cleanup. The absolute best Jamaican food in Daytona Beach as of today right there with the bistro Hut on Beville. The only difference is here you can indulge and never-ending dishes from the tropical Caribbean. I'm absolutely loving their $7 lunch option. I finally ate the all you can eat buffet for the first time yesterday and it was amazing the food is so good. Once in a while one of the barbecue chickens that I had outside always immaculate. I actually liked their Jamaican dumplings flavor. Five stars across the board and I barely do that. I'm trying to think of something that wasn't so great but I can't really think of anything. The only thing that I can say that would be kind of or sort of a negative thing about this place would be that everything is absolutely perfect but you will find yourself possibly and probably wondering why did I get so little napkins and you will possibly probably look for a waitress or call one and say can I please have more napkins. That is the only thing I can think of in somewhat a negative attribute. And when you do find yourself asking for extra napkins, you might think about this review and chuckle a little bit and say that's the only thing that I found what could be considered a negative if that. Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn the serendipitous good decisions department, I arrived kinda late at the hotel across the street, had no desire or energy to find a restaurant to drive to and have a sit-down so planned to walk just down the road to Subway. Some people in the hotel elevator had takeout packages from this Caribbean restaurant directly across the street from the hotel so, heading out for Subway we stopped in to look at what was on the buffet. Oh, so good! Vegetarian options included rice with black beans, very nicely done cabbage, and plantains, crisp items on salad bar. The jerk chicken was fantastic - not too spicy, excellent flavor and paired perfectly with the yellow rice. The mac cheese was great comfort food. The variety of desserts looked artfully tempting but sometimes you have to have restraint. (If you get take out, they will fill the order for you, asking which specific buffet items you want and charge accordingly; I donāt know if itās like this for dining in also- and whether lunch or dinner-sized portions. Canāt really speak to atmosphere due to take out ordering. It looked comfortable and pretty standard for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place advertises opening at 11:00am both online and on the building, but that was not the case. We arrived at 11:12am after driving an hour, on 9-10-2025 only to find the doors locked. A worker showed up around 11:20am and politely told us they might open in 15 minutes. After waiting until 11:45am, we were told they actually wouldnāt open until 12:30pmāan hour and a half later than their posted hours.
Update we went back 9-11-2025 @12:30pm and they was not opened again. How can they go 2 days in a row not opening on time. It's 1245pm and im leaving 2 strikes your out will not give this place another chance
Completely unacceptable. If a business canāt stick to their own hours, they should at least update their information or notify customers. We wasted time, gas, and left disappointed. Donāt trust the posted hours here unless...
