Ordered takeout. I got the crawfish boil and added .5lbs of king crab and dungeness crab. I tried two crawfish, those were overcooked. Tried the king crab, super overcooked to the point it was just rubber and bendy. The crab was overdone. The corn was separating and looked dried up. The potatoes were starting to mush, to the point where it was ready to be mashed for mashed potatoes. I called and asked for my money back to go somewhere else. I got hung up on. Called back, got hung up on. Finally talked to a lady who told me that their policy on takeout orders is “no refund”. (I offered to bring it back, and I absolutely did say if they just refunded me I wouldn’t dispute the charge with my bank and I wouldn’t leave a review. But after going back and forth and getting no where I decided to just agree to picking up a new boil) She told me I could come back to pick up a new one but that since I touched the food they would not take it back. I asked again about bringing it back and she told me they would not take it again. Because she said this, and I just eventually agreed to a new one, I threw it away and left to go pick up a new one. When I got there I asked about my order and was immediately met with serious anger and aggression. The person there with short hair immediately asked me “where my food at?” The women I talked to on the phone walked away. Another woman who was there told me I was a liar and that she never said that on the phone. The one with short hair threatened to call the police on me numerous times when I was trying to figure out if they wanted me to just go get the food and bring it back them and then I would just wait for another to be cooked. That person also yelled at me to “go get MY food” insinuating that the food was theirs like I didn’t pay for it. The other lady there that told me I was a liar accused me of trying to get free food, so I showed her the video and photos I took of the food. She looked and just shook her head and told me to go get it, show them, and they will throw it away. Then the one with short hair threatened me a few more times and took a photo of me while I was standing their telling the other lady I would just run and go get it quick and that it wasn’t a big deal. I had already waisted well over two hours going to the restaurant twice, instead of spending time with my children and husband on our vacation. They told me they wouldn’t make me a new one anyways, so I ended up just leaving and not wasting anymore of my time and I will just dispute the charge with my bank and write a review so other people know and hopefully do not have to deal with that type of behavior. Definitely a -10/10. Very...
Read moreMy first turn off was walking in the door. Before we were even greeted, the first thing that was said was that we'd have an 18% gratuity added for our party. Parties of 6 or more have this automatically added on. We were 4 adults, a child, and a toddler who would be lap sitting anyway. We were placed in an area where 2 tables had been pulled together to accommodate the 5th person. I noticed that there were other parties with people sitting in the isle on chairs. When I verbalized my dissatisfaction with the imposed gratuity for the toddler, we were told it was due to the table size. They were joining 2 tables so we could be more comfortable. That was a nice attempt at trying to save the imposed charge for 6 people. If comfort had been the case, then we should have been asked and given the choice. Since we did not need 2 tables, we were moved to a regular table. Side note: All of their tables and booths only sit 4, and they place a chair in the aisle for a 5th person. I was ok with that. To this, i will note that they now have the table next to ours out of service since they are using chairs from that table to accommodate my 5th guest as well as another group next to us. After this interaction, the service was minimal. We did not get drinks refilled, nor did we get plates cleared. When we asked our waitress if she could take some empty plates, she said "no" and pointed to a girl cleaning tables a few tables down. She said, "You can get her attention, and she'll take it." I have never had a waitress not take an empty plate, much less refer me to get another employees attention for service. Even when it's been a busboy helping bring items out from the kitchen, they assist with the request at hand and send the appropriate person for any further assistance.
I wanted to paint the picture before i explained: I pay my servers gratuity (tip) based on the service I receive. Often times more than 18%. However, if you're imposing this, I'm agreeing to take a gamble on excellent service vs. sub-par service. In this case, I would have been extremely upset to pay someone for a job they clearly did not...
Read moreIt seafood boils and alcoholic drinks are okay! But everything else i ordered from Calamari (too chewy) to hush puppies( to dry) was not . I HAD THE WEIRDEST THING HAPPEN to me when i was as there , my receipt the waitress name is Tiffany . Me and a friend arrived around 4pm and the restaurant has a sign that says happy hour from 1-5pm Saturday to Sunday. When i asked Tiffany about it the restaurants happy hour specials she told me it ended at 4pm, we asked for waters and she gave us time to look over the menu , I went back outside and took a picture of the signs, spoke to the hostess at the front to confirm that it ends at 5pm and not 4pm then went back to the table. Our waiter was visible annoyed, she dropped our waters off at the table without taking out orders and was walking back and fourth from her other 2 tables at that were a few booths away to the kitchen COMPLETELY IGNORING US. I wanted saw on social media that the place was great so I still wanted to stay. which she tried to walk past us I flagged her down and she took our order. Everytime she came to our table she would drop our food off and run the opposite way. I was the WEIRDEST thing . When we got our check she said she made our alcoholic drinks half off and quickly walked away. I had to flag her down AGAIN to inform her that the sign outside says the appetizers we orders should be discounted as well. She walked away, came back with a right receipt and said "for next time our happy for food ends at 4pm" idk why she told me that because I will not be here a "next times" so yeah. If you do decided to go just know that the happy hour for food is 1-4pm but drinks are 1-5pm. I included a picture of the...
