I wanted to love this hotel. I stay at Hilton properties 2 to 3 nights a week and this hotel is one of the best I've stayed at, but they lack that something extra that I have grown to appreciate and now expect from Hilton hotels. First the good, the location is perfect. It is right on the ocean. There are countless places that you can walk to if you are so inclined. A Publix grocery store, a Dollar Store, a Marshals, a liquor store, even a Denny's. And the ocean is right there! The room was immaculate, very clean. I asked the cleaning staff for some extra toiletries and they were very helpful with getting me whatever I needed. Now for the not so good. We arrived early, and I understood that a room would not necessarily be ready when we got there. That was fine, but when I approached the front desk the agent assured me that she would notify us when a room was available, she even confirmed my phone number so that she could reach me when it was time. So we took off, got something to eat, walked around, did some shopping, checked back with the desk, so on and so forth. Well about 3:00 (Official check in is 4:00) I noticed that quite a few people were checking in. So I approved the desk and was told, "yes we just had a room open up." Hmmmm, odd because they had been checking in guests for quite a while and never reached out to me to tell me that my room was ready. The hotel is under renovations, I respect that. But they closed down their "convenience store" and did not open up a temporary one. Meaning that the late night cravings for a Snickers bar or a pack of M&M's would not be fulfilled. I've stayed at other hotels that were being renovated and all of them opened up some type of temporary "convenience store." They had a poolside bar outside, but it was "closed for the season." We were there during the peak Spring Break season. Last year I stayed at the Hampton Inn down the street in early January, their outdoor bar was open. In January, but the Garden Inn has theirs closed in March. They also had a bar inside, but its hours were not very convenient. I attempted to get a drink about 10:15 at night, apparently they closed at 10:00.... I think, because I never saw anything going on at the bar area. No bottles behind the bar, no beers on display, nothing. Just an empty bar. It was quite odd to me. What I was really disappointed with though was their communication with their guests. I called the hotel after I had checked out to ask them to check for a credit card that I thought I left behind in the room. They took my information, said they'd call me back, and I never heard anything. Nothing. Now, I presume that they did not find the card, but they could have at least called to let me know that they really did check. I also get a "food and beverage credit" with my stay at the hotel. They are supposed to take $10 a person off the bill. They did not take care of that on their own, I had to call back after I checked out and get them to do it. That is something that better Hilton properties take care of without me having to ask. Again, great location, clean hotel, but they fall short on customer service.

The hotel is right on the Atlantic Ocean, and like many hotels on the water, they apparently don't think keeping the rooms up to date is necessary. Although the room was a decent size, the decor is dated. The bathroom looks old, particularly the sink and shower, which never really looked clean. We'd asked for a room on a high floor facing the ocean. The website said it was $149, but the manager said it should have been advertised as $189. A room like that wasn't available, so the manager adjusted the rate, but based on $189 and NOT $149. It's not the customer's fault your website isn't working properly!! We may have chosen a different hotel based on the actual rates. The Direct TV wasn't working when we arrived in the wee hours of the morning. The head housekeeper, Jackie, had to fix it using the tried and true unplugging and plugging back in. She was great, and Regina in housekeeping was also great. There was a gentleman, black shirt, tan shorts (also in housekeeping?) who always had a friendly smile and hello. There was NO complimentary breakfast, NO complimentary coffee throughout the day (after the PAID breakfast is over at 10 am, you are SOL on coffee). The omelets were cooked too hard and were too pricey ($14+). There is a shopping center (Publix, Walgreens, Marshalls) directly across from the hotel, which is convenient. The best thing was a view of the water. Otherwise, there is no reason to stay here. Very disappointing Hilton property. Sorry, there are no pictures of the hotel (except for the pool area). I was mostly focused on its best attribute...the view.

All and all the hotel is clean. Usually beach hotels are run down. This hotel was clean, the rooms didn't smell damp, and noise levels were low. The disappointment is that almost every courtesy and consideration, that can be given, is not. Pool towels. I have never been at a hotel where you have to check out pool towels. They actually keep a log book. Generally, there are towels around the pool. That is convenient, for the hotel and guests.

Not here. So, when you and your towels are soaking, you have to walk on a tile floor, that lacks rugs, while dripping wet to check in and out new towels.

You have a tiled floor at a beach resort and no rugs leading up to the elevators as people are dripping wet. It is hazardous. It puts an extra work load on the desk staff and the guests.

A hotel is supposed to provide comfort and a sense of welcome. Yet, here you are having to almost beg for towels to swim and cover the beach chairs. No rugs on the floors. Very unsafe.

Parking is tight. It is not checked so even though you get a pass. It seems anyone can park here. If you don't get a space, you are advised to park on the street or take your chances in the shopping plaza lot across the street.

People plan and save to go on vacation. They work hard all year, go into debt to get away and relax. When planning you are looking at amenities, location, and comfort.

The spa is broken. They say the water gets hot but the jets don't work. I love the Jacuzzi. Had I known it was broken. I would have picked another place to stay. Maybe even another beach. My mother bruised her foot in the spa pool. People still sat in it , but vacation is about comfort, relaxation, and get away.... So, why not have things fixed and operational.

No mechanic was called. There is no real sense of urgency with the hotel. Desk staff almost seem bothered. They aren't rude. They smile but it is as if they are bothered or stressed. Very short. When my mom asks about a wrap for her hurt foot, she is told to walk across the street to Walgreens. She hurt her foot here, in the hotel spa pool, but no injury report was taken.

Breakfast bar was hit or miss. One day the computers was down. Today, they basically shut down the buffet at 9 am. It is supposed to be from 6 to 10. By 9 am they were out of everything. The pastries , milk, biscuits, fruit salad. If you ask about any item , they say breakfast is over, we aren't adding anything else.

There is no ownership from the hotel or staff, for the lack of food or professionalism. I get it when you are understaffed. You stop caring. That is what an unrealistic and impossible work load creates. It's called Apathy Adiñé the online menu is a joke. They give a summary instead of an itemized menu, with prices. No room service. If you call down and ask about a menu. You are told you have to walk downstairs to look at it.

Why wouldn't an accurate menu, with prices, be in every room? If someone calls and inquires, how hard it is to read the menu on the phone? Dinner is dollars. To your guest it is a treat. Why not make sure they know what is being served and how much it costs?

Late check out, which is a perk for Hilton Honor members, is also not truly honored here. Honestly, almost any hotel will offer you late check out. The truth is the cleaning staff rarely turns over every room before even 5 p.m. Yet, when I called to ask, I was met with the tone of I don't know. Then only given an extra hour.

It seems as if maybe they are running each department with minimal staff. One waitress for a whole dining room, as if food is an after thought, not a priority. People want to sleep in. So you have long lines of people waiting to be seated in a very small section of the dining room. Maybe that makes sense sometimes... but if you are fully booked on a holiday weekend, why not have staffing in place? I love the Hilton Brand. I rarely write reviews. Yet, this was a let down and I felt...

We stayed 3 nights in June with our small dog from June 7, 2024 to June 10, 2024. Stay Away On Weekends!!! Several Concerns! Pros: Hotel appeared to be recently updated Standard rooms are spacious enough. Paid Breakfast Buffet costed a fair price of $12.50 per person. It is a good breakfast with both hot and cold choices. If you prefer you can order a la cart for about the same price as the Buffett. The Beach is beautiful. Publix Food Market is across the street from the hotel. Cons: Waste of time to make a verbal or written request ahead of your stay. It goes by the waste side. Staff do not seem to care. Equally a waste is to do an early check-in. We did early check-in via their hotel application to reserve a particular room. It was not honored. Waste of time and waste of effort. They say they will consider your request or special needs before the checkin but when you are there at the hotel they totally ignore all you requested. We got exactly the opposite of what we requested. We asked to be by an elevator or an exit because I have to take our dog out several times per day. We were assigned to a room in the middle of the hotel far from any elevator or exit. Yet we did do the early checkin and reserved room 427 but we were assigned to room 223 far from any Elevator or Exit. When we asked what happen to the room we reserved which is room 427, the customer service rep from the reception stated she did not know and shrugged it off. This hotel has an extremely small pool for their 150 rooms. Pool was so crowded that we never had a chance to use it. Forget about sitting on any pool lounge chair either. The pool lounge chairs may be empty of a person but reserved at first light with a towel and monopolized all day. People that do not stay at this hotel park their vehicles at this hotel, walk through the pool back and forth to and from the beach. They use the only one pool shower available thereby they also cause a long line at the shower and they also use the only stairs to go to and from the beach. Therefore those stairs get so much traffic that the stairs get muddy, slippery and it all seemed chaotic. On the weekend there is just too much traffic of people for the space, Too many people at the pool shower and the pool. People that do not stay at this hotel occupy parking spaces for free too when the people who do stay at the hotel are charged and have to pay for parking spaces. Be alert and watchful regarding pool bar charges. We were told one price before we placed an order and then charged another price after we received our order. We were charged $18 for only two cans of beer. Highway robbery! The pool bar bartender appeared to be loud and appeared to be a bully. She was totally unpleasant to say the least. This bartender seemed greedy and overall soooo money hungry that she shamelessly over charged us. We were also refused a drink menu to see the prices when asked for one and not given a receipt. The hotel inside does not have any signs to guide people on the location of the rooms. The one luggage carrier is defected and does not steer in the direction it is pushed. The hotel hallways and pool area was loud and mobbed on the weekend. Stay away on the weekends. The manager was polite however in general most of the staff appeared to need an intensive in service. There is also some destroyed properties in the neighborhood area from past hurricanes. And there is also construction happening in the area nearby hotel. Stay Away on Weekends !!! Overall this Hotel...
