Overall I enjoyed my visit here. I believe the main point of rolled Ice cream is for the entertainment. The staff here truly enjoys being watched as they pour the ingredients onto a cold plate which freezes before your eyes and then scraped up into curls. The premium cost was fine for this.
For me, not the the go to place to get your ice cream fix if you are seeking specialty flavors as they have a limited choice of chocolate and vanilla cream bases. Their flavors are concentrated on toppings to dress it up. Each topping past the included amount is an extra charge.
Do not rely on the toppings list posted as being available, ask before you order. I wanted almonds and my guest wanted coffee. While both listed, they did not have these and we had to settle for 2nd choice ingredients. I guess I could have said "no thanks" and leave but the order was in the last stage of preparation and I felt the entertainment factor was enough. The last preparer had to check the toppings list to see if our topping choices were actually on the list as she appeared surprised. I left wondering if these two toppings were ever available.
3 stars for very friendly and enthusiastic preparation. Do visit...
Read morePlace looked clean. Since the pandemic they have added plexiglass infront of register and toppings station like most other places. This was our 1sr visit and it was quite expensive especially not knowing much about the place $8 for adult. $5.50 for kids. It has very limited selections of chocolate or vanilla base. Then u add ur mix such as cookie, brownies, strawberry and so on. The then pour a cream liquid on to a cold plate and u watch it freeze as the chop the mixing and stir it up flatten and roll it instead of scoop.
The biggest problem we had was not the price or taste. It was the person working the counter. She had nothing to say and expected us to know exactly what was going on( we had no clue). My wife was asking questions and the lady was not happy to answer, i.e she asked how cold the plate that froze the mixture was, all she said was below freezing. Not to mention when we walked in she went back on the the back room 3 times with out even saying a word to us.
The ice was good but very cold and hard to scoop. The cream did have a lot of flavor but when hard but as it melted u could taste it better. Cool experience but I wouldn't be a regular because of the price...
Read moreSo this place had been open 9-months and I'm surprised it doesnt have more traffic; given it is right across the street from the beach. My husband and I decided to give it a try and really liked it! I think the rolled process is something that younger kids would like to watch and then again, maybe I'm just ol'skool. I was pleasantly surprised you can get your base flavor (vanilla or chocolate ice cream) in regular, vegan, or sugar-free. Then you pick something to mix into your ice cream like brownies, rum/raisin, raspberries, etc.; there are more items to pick. Once the ice cream becomes mixed, frozen and rolled (that's the process you watch live), then you can add toppings, such as sprinkles, marshmallow, sauce, etc.; there are more items to select. And the staff (Joanna and Ken) are really nice and fun. So if you haven't tried the rolled ice cream fad with your kids, give it a try... you might...
