I went to Planet Smoothie a week ago for the first time and was disgusted by the behavior of the store manager. There was a young man who was visibly new and she made a mockery of him in front of all customers in the store. Everything he did, she belittled. She started to make a smoothie and specifically asked him to finish in, then rudely said "what are you doing, that needs way more ice, just leave it ill just do it all", while continuing to roll her eyes waiting for the next order.
visibly training, there is a time and place for everything and for her to talk down on him in front of a full store (or period) was disgusting.
(Not to mention, when we first got there he was left in the store alone and was unable to answer any questions we had about the companies ingredients. He stated that he would have to wait until his manager came back)(point is, if he was that new where she needed to "just do it all" he should have never been left alone).
The young man was visibly uncomfortable as were the 6-9 other customers in there. The manager was also very impatient taking orders, dry, not personable and seemed miserable in her position. Not to mention the smoothie was just ok, definitely not worth what we paid. (we bought 4) I left feeling so sorry for that young man. We shop frequently at the outlets and I will share my experience with others regarding the behavior I witnessed from the manager. Customer service...
Read moreI usually like this Planet Smoothie location, but today’s visit was disappointing. I ordered a Twiggy (the kid’s smoothie) while holding my toddler and even pointed to it on the menu. I asked if I could have a larger cup—just an extra cup to pour it into so he could feel like a big kid.
The employee told me I’d have to pay for a larger smoothie instead, even after I explained I only wanted the kid’s size and would gladly buy the extra cup. She seemed irritated and unwilling to accommodate such a simple request.
When I got my order, she gave me a medium smoothie anyway. When I asked why, she said, “You said Twig,” even though I had clearly said Twiggy and pointed to the kids’ menu. Then she told me to “have a nice day” and walked away.
It wasn’t about the size or the dollar—it was about how dismissive and unkind the interaction felt. I gave 2 stars because this isn’t typical for this location, but today’s experience really stood out in a...
Read moreWent in there today to get a smoothie as a good shopping drink and immediately after walking in the door I was having a bad experience. No one greeted me, which isn’t that big of a deal, I get it, you guys were busy, but I then noticed the screens weren’t working and it said to use the paper menus. A girl came up to the front and said “menus are here” and pointed, I didn’t see where she pointed and she said again, even more rudely, “menus are here” and pointed again. This is where I started feeling very uncomfortable but I grabbed a menu anyway and once I was done flipping through it I went up to the register to order. The same girl then yelled at me “you have to order over there” and pointed to the other side of the store. I at this point felt like she was yelling at me like a clueless toddler. So I just walked out. Surprisingly, she didn't yell at me instructions on where the exit was. Overall,...
