Went to the Zales store to purchase a ring back in November of 2024, that was on sale. The ring did not fit me and the sales associate said they would send it to get resized and they would call me in a few weeks when it was back. A few weeks went by and I did not receive a call so I called and they told me that the ring was back, but that they couldn't resize it. I was in the area and went to pick it up. When I got there, the sales associate Diana told me that they couldn't resize it and that the ring had been in their possession for some time. I asked how long the ring had been there and why I hadn't received a phone call and I couldn't get an answer. She handed me a broken ring in a ziplock bag and said she would see if she could get it special ordered and that she would call me the following Monday to let me know. The following Monday came and went and again, I received no phone call. I waited until that Thursday to call back the store and called to inquire about the status of the ring and the associate gave the phone to Diana who in turned said she would call me right back because she was helping a customer. I waited for the call back and again, nothing. I called back the following day to speak to Diana and she told me that she hadn't heard back as to if the ring could be special ordered or not. It took her a whole 2 minutes to tell me that, yet she could not say that the previous day. Again, she said she would call me back in the week to let me know what was going on. Again, I waited and no phone call. I decided that I was going to go to the store personally to speak to Diana, but I was not in the area and I asked my mother to go instead. She went and spoke to Diana who made every excuse available about why she was not communicating the status of the ring. Once again, Diana said she would call to find out the status and give me a phone call back, which again, never happened. A week later, I took my ziplock bag with a broken ring back into the store to get my money back and the two associates that were in the store told me that Diana was on vacation, but texted one of the associates to give me a call to let me know that the ring could not be special ordered. One of the associates said they could not find me in the system and they could not reach me. She was adamant about showing me her text message on the phone as proof that Diana did try to contact me when I noticed that my name was not even spelled correctly, I pointed that out and said that's why she couldn't find me. She proceeded to tell me that they were sorry, but they would issue me a refund. As they were attempting to issue me my refund one of the associates called the other over to show her something on the computer and then told me that they would have to mail me a check because it had been over 30 days from the purchase date. I said yes it had and it was all their fault, but they offered no other resolution besides me waiting at least 21 days for my refund. It is now January 2025 and I don't have a ring nor do I have my money. I have never purchased from Zales, nor will I ever do it again. I understand that some things are out of their control. However, there is no excuse for their lack of communication and accountability. I hope that my review can help someone who is thinking of purchasing from Zales make an...
Read moreBUYER BEWARE!!! I bought a beautiful sapphire ring on Black Friday. Since they only have size 7 in store (and their rings can only be sized down 2 sizes)the ring had to be ordered as a size 5, delivered to store, and then sent elsewhere to size to 3 1/2. Around December 12th I got a call to pick up my ring. I called first to see if this was the 5 or if had already been sized to 3 1/2. The salesperson was very confused and had a hard time locating the ring even though they just called me about it. So she says it looks small , it might be 3 1/2. I had to ask her to measure it, turns out it is still a size 5. So I explain it needs sent out to size. We finish the call with the promise of someone calling when ring arrives back from sizing. Yesterday (January 10th) I get an email that I am being refunded for the ring because I didn’t pick it up within 30 days!! I call the store and the sales lady is talking over me the whole time about how I was called a month ago and failed to pick up my ring. I continue to explain situation and she finally finds the invoice that says exactly what I am telling her. The ring is still a size 5, it was never sent out to size. She goes on to tell me, since they credited me, I would have to go back into store to repurchase if I still wanted it. Needless to say I told her to forget it because I have lost all faith in their company. Sad to say I loved the ring, but I was treated poorly and given such a runaround that I gave up. I will never shop there...
Read moreI would give this place no stars if I could! I purchased a diamond bond as I had with my last bridal set before i upgraded, I’m fully aware of having to bring my rings in every so often to be check in fact when I first bought my new set my diamonds were lose the first couple times of bringing it in, but now one of my diamonds fell completely out of my ring and they have it in the computer as the last time I was there was 12/22 when I know for a fact that I’ve been in there at least two times to have my rings inspected and it has not been logged into the computer… no slip printed out and handed to me in which I thought was no big deal because I don’t keep them. When I called corporate the lady on the phone who apparently has no customer service skills, told me that the employees are fully aware of their job, but apparently not the ones I dealt with on those two days for sure! I did what I was supposed to do! Brought my wedding set in to be inspected and because OF ZALES EMPLOYEES THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE ME PAY OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE IT WASNT LOGGED INTO THE COMPUTER! I will sell my Complete set and take my business elsewhere before I ever spend another penny at a place that can’t take responsibility of their employees actions and fix...
