Smoothie King — Restaurant in Daytona Beach

I don't know if the contact information for this place is current or not… But either way, it doesn't bode well for their sense of professionalism. I called the listed phone number, and someone answered with a, "hello…" No business name no polite greeting… Then hung up on me. I never did figure out if the number really belongs to Smoothie King. I called back, and got some generic voicemail box greeting that says the person isn't available, again… No branding or anything. Obviously if the number is not correct, then that's no surprise.

If in fact the phone number is not correct then shame on the business for not properly updating their Google listing with good contact information. If, on the other hand the number is correct, then it's extremely unprofessional the way that the phone call was handled and the fact that they didn't even bother to take the time to put their business name on their voicemail greeting. Suffice it to say, I guess I will find another place to order a smoothie...

Came through the drive-through at 7:50pm Sunday, March 9 and was the fourth car in line. Was told that the POS had crashed and they were no longer taking orders. This is the second time I’ve witnessed them telling customers the POS crashed and it is always within 30 minutes of closing. I hope this is not tactic they’re using to close early because I’m sure the manager of this location would not be happy with them turning away business so they can leave sooner.

Moreover, the service at this location has gone downhill in the last 4 to 5 months. I’ve been coming to this location for almost 2 decades. Many of the young employees do not know anything about good customer service. They barely greet customers, they don’t smile, and to be curt some of them they act ghetto. I guess their side conversations are more important than servicing customers properly.

I have been looking for a particular smoothie place for years since I moved from another area - this is hands down my favorite place anywhere now.

The ingredients are always fresh, I get the same thing every time I go and it has always been fantastic. The service is fast, the staff is friendly and upbeat, and the location is very convenient.

The only negative I can think of is they have an app you can use - there is a notice on the window where you pay to use it, but you have to use it by the time you order and it's too late by the time they process it and you get to the window (what I've been told), but they have never mentioned it to me when I order, and I had to ask them what it was after seeing it a few times on their window.
