"BurgerTen: All the negatives and quality of a ghost kitchen at bistro-level high prices"
Where to begin with the place. From the moment you sit down and drink the terrible unfiltered water, to the moment you get your overpriced food an hour later, you will be filled with nothing but disappointment and regret. Considering the history of this place as a former ghost kitchen-turned-restaurant, it only makes sense the longer you stay here.
The burgers were mediocre, the "donut buns" are a single donut cut in half, not two donuts, every patty is another 2-3$ upcharge, and the overall quality is average at best. The onion rings have the worst batter known to man and weren't even crispy in the slightest. It was like eating a wet towel.
The wait times for the "over-the-top" food and "special handcrafted shakes" are horrendous and have you wondering if they're milking the cow in the back. They claim it's to dress and prepare each and every milkshake which I would understand, except the milkshakes are adequate at best, extremely overpriced for what you get, and to top it off the toppings are stale! My partner got the Breakfast shake and the cornflakes were so stale you could make wall art out of them (when this was brought up with the manager, he scoffed, surprised, and said "What, you want me to take it off?" in a defensive tone as if his ego was riding on the sad and stale flakes)
This should come as no surprise. As shown in the past from both other reviews and health inspections, they have repeatedly not listened to customer input and continue to serve inadequate food all while arguing with the customer both in-person and online.
In our particular case, we tried to cancel the two shakes as they took well over 20-30 minutes to make (we could've walked out to Ben & Jerry's nearby, gotten actually good and price-worthy desserts, finished, and come back in this time for a better experience overall), but the shakes finally came out then. While talking amongst ourselves about how bad the service was, how we weren't coming back, etc., the manager "John" decided to cut in and give the spiel "They take long because they're handcrafted, you don't understand". Our family tried numerous times to tell him it was fine and it didn't matter, but the manager took it as a personal attack and went on a tirade about how we don't understand food and customer service and we should've mentioned it before. Understandably, yes, if we were looking to send it back and cause problems we should've, but we were just looking to finish and go.
Cut to almost 5 minutes of condescending criticism from the manager on everything we should've done and how we're wrong about the quality of their mediocre food and miserable service. When asked his name to try and resolve the issue with corporate, he denied it on four separate occasions and directly ignored our requests.
Mind you, all while this is happening, there's a leak directly next to our table from the roof that the employees are trying to clean and manage by hand. We eventually learned his name asking the front-desk employee and not of the manager's own volition. Instead, he disrespected, berated, refused to listen to, and rejected any attempts to resolve the situation in a professional manner, ending with a "get out of my restaurant". Mind you, all of the wait staff were fantastic and we were nothing but respectful and understanding to them. Just the manager "John" who decided to taint the entire dinner with his childish and pathetic behavior. So no resolution, just nothing but arguing in Spanish from the so-called manager who didn't even have the gall to mention his name to stand behind his so-called pride in his food and service.
So yes, come here if you want nothing but slow wait times, overpriced foods, horrible water, stale desserts, rude managers, leaky ceilings, and the feeling like you've been duped like you would at another ghost kitchen/virtual restaurant. Otherwise, take your money anywhere...
Read moreOur food took quite some time to get and the restaurant was basically empty so that was for obvious reasons pretty annoying. The server was clearly new to serving and wasn’t very attentive he seemed like a nice enough guy but he didn’t have the right mind set and would leave us hanging for a longgg time between checking on us resulting in another server refilling our drinks for us and helping him out which again was crazy to us because the restaurant was practically empty! As far as the food goes…. It’s insanely over priced and both our meals were very very messy and left us covered in sauce and grease. My wife’s burger was like $20 and we make a much better burger at the house. My Nashville hot Mac n chicken sandwich was not spicy at all and the slice of chicken was twice the size of the bun so you had to kind of eat the ends off the sandwich to get to the bun and in doing so basically 75% of the Mac and the sauce fell out of the sandwich and onto the plate which is whatever but for $20 sandwich I just feel like it should be spicy if you are gonna claim it’s Nashville hot. My favorite part of the whole meal was the sweet potato fries they were so bomb they had great seasoning and were crispy the only down side to them was the server only brought me a small thing of ranch and I used it up on the first half of my fries and then the second half I ate with out ranch because he never came to check on us for me to ask for more. It took the two us us over an hour to have dinner and we were sat right away. Most annoying part was we waited so long for the food and the service then when it was finally time to go dude brings us the box and check and then walks away for a solid 10 mins before coming back to run my card so we could get the heck out of there. Over all the best part of the dining experience was finally being able to leave. We won’t be coming back as it’s WAY over priced and it’s absolutely not worth it. If you wanna get good service and a fire burger you should pass...
Read moreI was super excited to try this restaurant since I hadn't had a negative experience when ordering through Door Dash when it was a part of Dahlias and reading so many great reviews. The experience started well enough with a great hostess and amazing bartender.
The cheeseburger egg rolls are yummy and definitely cheesy. They arrived hot. The top shelf margarita is delicious. Thank you again McKinley!
Our mains not so much. My guest described the Caesar with grilled chicken as bland. They did enjoy the parm wings but was not impressed. For my experience I'd say that the wings taste like they're just tossed in a sauce but the actual chicken has no seasoning.
I ordered the Rise and Shine (double) and only tasted the hash brown. I picked at the end of the hash brown (see photo). The burger itself was cold. Literally cold to the touch. Our bartender took it back to the kitchen to be remade and when it was returned to me I noticed that while the fries were piping hot the burger was still cold.
It was the same burger with a new stick (small brown stick in the middle of the burger) in it indicating that it was a new burger and had been redone. This time I broke a piece of the burger off and put it in the bartender's hand. Not only was the burger STILL cold the sunny side up egg looked over fried, dried out, and not edible.
You can see in the pictures where the picked off hash brown is in the same place on each burger. Needless to say this completed our experience and brought an early end to our night. Overall not impressed and probably won't be returning. The cost versus quality just isn't there. The meal was removed from the tab....
