Al Kareem Bakery and Grill was (Golden Bakery) — Restaurant in Dearborn Heights

I have been a patron of Golden Bakery for years. Their meat, cheese, and spinach pies, their cheese bread with zatar, and on the weekends the date filled sweet bread has always been SO wonderful. But, the last few times I went in there, its like the quality has gone downhill a lot, and, some of the staff are extremely unprofessional. One female employee, idk if she's like a manager or what, but she was middle aged and shorter, she was literally arguing with my kids' grandmother! Raising her voice, because she had asked if 2 of the cheese breads could be remade bc they were very burnt. She told her, "Its not burnt! That's what you get!" - uh, no. I've been coming here fir years and grandma has been coming here ever since it first opened - together we've probably spent thousands at Golden Bakery - lunches, snacks, we used to buy it gor the kids' classrooms before the pandemic, we'd always get it for family gatherings...we know what is normal - having some darker edges is totally fine. As a child, mum used to treat us on occasion with cheese breads cooked in a stone oven from here. It was the highlight of my day whenever this happened. This was 25 years ago. I since moved across the world to NZ. When visiting the area recently, I remembered this place, and wanted to let my kids experience a bit of my childhood. THE NOSTALGIA!! My kids raved about it. And the flavour? Just as delicious as I remember it. What impressed me most was the kind service the owner dealt with. He even was so kind to give us a garlic side free of charge. Great food, always looks clean...but my major issue is the older man who waits on me everytime I have been here and is always there when I go. He is so rude...no customers and still rushes me, cops an attitude. This is what gives muslims a bad name. Customers make your business...without us, you have nothing. just cut the attitude, ask if I would like anything else, or is that all for my order before sending it off to the cashier, and don't tell the other waitstaff to go wait on someone else (in arabic) because you think you can hurry me along...
