Worst experience with a moving company! Had to call to confirm multiple times. 15 min before they were due to come they called and said they are 6 hours delayed because their trucks won’t work. They showed up 7 hours later with an attitude. One of the men spent most of the time on the phone fighting with his girlfriend and carrying items with one hand. They didn’t wrap anything up and set the furniture in the snow (a brand new upholstered bed covered in stains). Everything they moved is either dirty, scratched or dented. My husband moved most of the boxes to the truck for them because they were moving so slow. They wouldn’t move the tv saying there’s no room in the truck(we don’t have a lot of furniture). When they got to the new house they refused moving most of the furniture, saying it won’t fit. After ignoring my request to take off their wet, dirty shoes they left my completely stained house, with the bedroom dresser in the living room, mattress in the dining room and sofa in the garage. I called my family to help and they easily got everything where it needed to go without the movers. We called Ali to explain the situation and felt the least he could do is not charge us an extra hour seeing as they didn’t complete the job and spent so much time on their phone and ruining our furniture. He was fine speaking with my husband but when the woman spoke up he told my husband he’d call him tomorrow. We never heard from him. Update: Moving completed: Overall, yes it was not bad experience. But had some tensions too... Over the phone/text, the initial estimate was finalized and agreed to pay for every extra hour too. And scheduled the moving time as afternoon.
On the moving day, the movers called me in the morning and told me that they are on the way! I was expecting them in the afternoon :( They arrived by around 10AM and first thing they did was inspection of the items and told that the initially agreed minimum amount for 2 hours was not enough, they wanted 3 hours as minimum! I told, lets start with 2 hours estimate and I can pay for extra time as quoted earlier , they were not ready to start work!. I told I would talk to the manger whom I contacted for estimate. I tried to contact him, he we not picking up the call or replaying for text messages ! I understood that I was not going to get a reply for this :(. Was it intentional? I don't know. Finally, settled for 2 and half hours as minimum. (Distance to new location was less then 8 miles).
From there on wards, it was kind of okay. Things are moved, movers were working fair enough. No issues afterwards. They completed the work in 2 and half hours. So, overall...

When I booked this service, I specifically requested a 26ft truck. My movers arrived two hours late with a 16ft truck which made it necessary for them to make multiple trips on an hourly rate. I also had to call and find out where they were. I was not informed they were running behind. I had inexperienced movers that had difficulty moving furniture, in which we were left to deal with on our own although they received full payment. The owner called to harass me for some odd reason during the move and then suddenly demanded that I sign a contract that didn't exist before the move started. He tried to charge extra for a heavy chair in which addtl fees were never disclosed. My walls were damaged and I was basically told, we will see what we can do about it. In the midst of moving, he told his guys to not unload until we paid which didnt make any sense because they were being paid by the hour. Fortunately, his employees were smart enough to continue. Its unfortunate that they felt the need to apologize for there own bosses behavior. Ali (the owner) is very combative, not trustworthy and he will never receive another dime from me or anyone...
