I visited Sesame House for "Suhoor" on a few occasions; at the time the official Google listing was not active. The line and hype were all there, but the place was overly chaotic. The staff was unprofessional, there was no clear line and the tables were broken. The food counter was good but the coffee counter was a miss every time.
The cashiers kept changing the direction of the line, causing awkward shifts in the crowds and multiple lines. Wait times in line were about an hour and the food another hour; you were only told of the wait at the front of the line. Why would you not announce the time periodically so people don't wait and then get turned away in the end? There should be clear marked lines; not a guessing game and awkward stare downs.
The dining room and bathrooms were a wreck every visit. For the entire month there should be signs with time limits; people sat for hours holding tables for friends that didn't show up. Many tables were wobbly and had to be pushed up against the wall for support. The front doors don't have a second set of doors, so a cold blast of wind was constantly filling the restaurant.
Overall I hope that this feedback helps Sesame House fix these issues so that it is a more pleasant...
Read moreAbsolutely the best breakfast and lunch place in town. In addition, to the traditional Lebanese breakfast staples and French pastries, they take it to a unique level with their hand crafted "Kak" seaseme bread/pie that the owner literally traveled to learn the art for and also has brought international chefs in to make everything homemade onsite---yes---those croissants are NOT ordered from a factory... they are made every morning fresh in their huge traditional saj oven. The offer great sandwiches w fresh "you pick" ingredients (subway is a joke compared to this place). Their sub bread, bageuttes, and hamburger buns are ALL HOMEMADE!!! Thats so rare for a restaurant to do. Im just so impressed!! Cant say enough. This place is not a fad. Its real quality! Whether your looking for a fun and unique dining experience or a taste of home youll love this place. Might I add that the owners are two very humble honest guys from the sweetest families who started up from nothing and really worked hard to build this business.
Oh and the Shabam Coffee is great. Its a great price for a latte. Not a rip off. They will make those cool cream designs on their lattes. Everything is just a great price and...
Read moreI’ve never left a bad review for a restaurant before, but I feel obligated to after this experience. This place was a complete disaster, absolutely nothing was organized. I decided to give it a chance anyway and see if the food made up for the chaos.
I ordered their famous kaak, only to be told it would take over an hour. I figured I’d try something else in the meantime and ordered a meat sambusa. When I picked it up, it came in a box and when I opened it, it was the wrong order. I went back to let them know, and the staff didn’t just brush it off, they were incredibly rude. The server told me what I ordered was now sold out, with an attitude that made it clear they didn’t care. I explained that I had ordered before it sold out and was given the wrong item, but she was dismissive and unprofessional.
My friend had the same exact issue, wrong order, rude response.
I will never return to this restaurant and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. If you can’t handle a busy day, you shouldn’t be running...
