It’s the best bagels I’ve had and it’s become a part of my weekly routine to stop in. This is a business worth your money hands down.
If you’re like me you grew up as a kid eating bagels with the family, Mom or Dad coming home with a dozen from Einstein and as you got older you developed a knowledge that better ingredients and passion in preparing food for others made better tasting food. Maybe you starting trying new places in our area to find a restaurant or baker who had that that knowledge and passion to enjoy something again, to feel like you did on those early mornings enjoying a bagel. Brazen is that place you’re looking for.
I’ve been chasing that feeling for so long, trying new places for breakfast, to feel like I did watching cartoons with my Dad eating a toasted bagel with cream cheese or so much butter you know you should stop adding more but you don’t. I’ve tried so many bagels places in my adulthood and since going to Brazen, I am rest. The hunt is over.
I started with a sample order I wanted an Asiago, an Everything, and couldn’t say no to a Za’atar. I got the cream cheese and a side of green onion; all toasted, cream cheese on the Asiago. I saw coffee cups and heard it was fresh ground everyday, one to go please.
The bagels are incredible. Large, soft inside, and beautifully toasted outside. The flavor is unmatched across any bagel you could buy at a store or any bagel seller in a large radius from us. If you know a place, I’ve been there it’s just not as good.
Every day I go in it’s consistently great and the bakers/owners are not shy to innovation or improvements. Their passion and dedication to great tasting bagels will be evident every time you’ll go in.
Get the lox on an Asiago bagel, a fresh ground coffee, and relive that memory from your childhood. Buy a dozen cut bagels and throw them in a freezer bag on the counter. You won’t find a place like this again,...
Read moreHoused within Village Ford in West Dearborn you will find one of the best bagel shops in the whole state. Easily. After hearing a lot of local buzz over the past year or so about this place, I decided to stop in and check them out (HINT: park in the little side lot by the car wash across the street from Village Ford for easy in/out). I ended up picking up bagel sandwiches for myself and my parents and we were all absolutely blown away the quality of the bagel and the variety of sandwiches. I cannot recommend the beet and horseradish lox sandwich enough—something about that combination just makes the Polish in my heart soar!
Jacob and Megan are such a treasure. Beyond a phenomenal bagel sandwich, they provide exceptional customer service every time I get to see them. Can't...
Read moreI have had a bagel void in my life since I moved to MI from NYC, and after finding this place, I once again feel complete. Just enough crunch on the outside, doughy inside - perfect ratio of cream cheese to bagel, and not to mention amazing service from Jake & Megan! They made sure I received a fresh batch of garden salsa cream cheese, which I watched them make by hand in front of me. I bought 2 bagels, ate one in the car on the way home and had to turn around and go back to buy another. I always try a plain bagel with plain cream cheese at a new place to get a good baseline and it was so good it made my whole day. Can't wait to try more things on the menu! If anyone rates this place less than 5, I don't trust them because they obviously don't know what a bagel is supposed...
