If I could give zero stars, I would. Staying at the Red Roof Inn in Dearborn, MI, was like starring in a low-budget horror film — but without the popcorn. The towels had mystery stains and hair (bonus?), and when I asked the front desk for clean ones, I was told they had a “limited supply” — apparently one per decade. The room? Let’s just say it looked like it had last been cleaned during the Clinton administration. Missing dresser drawers, curtains hanging on for dear life, stains on the comforter that told stories I didn’t want to hear, and a non-working phone in case I wanted to call for help (or pizza). Oh, and the shower dispenser? Empty. Not even a drop of soap to wash away my regrets. They couldn’t pay me to stay here again. Scratch that — they definitely couldn’t afford to.

There were people outside my room who were fighting the entire night. When I tried contacting the management office they didn't receive. The Washroom was a mess! The water wouldn't drain off from the bath tub and there was a weird smell in the room always. I had the worst experience here.

Only if I could give negative or zero stars! Other than the housekeeping staff everything was terrible. The room wasn't clean, the sheets and bed sheet had stains on them and were ripped off and even after asking them to change it, they provided me with new terrible one's. There were people outside my room who were fighting the entire night. When I tried contacting the management office they didn't receive. The Washroom was a mess! DO NOT come to this Red Roof. I was recently there and my experience was beyond horrible. When I checked in it was close to midnight. My family and I went in the room, ate and one of the kids took a shower. We literally ONLY used 2 towels. We didn’t mess up the beds or anything else. We didn’t even turn the TV on. A little after 1a.m when we were getting ready to call it a night, we went to lock up and noticed that the door DID NOT lock. When I say DID NOT, I mean that from the outside of the room you can literally walk inside the room WITHOUT having to use the key card. At that moment I went to the front desk and let the guy on night duty know my situation and told him I DID NOT feel safe or comfortable and would like a refund for the room. This is around 1 something. He offered me a 1 bed (which I didn’t want because I had a 2 bed) then he told me to come back to the office at 9 am to speak with general manager Freddie Pattah and I would be able to get my refund. At that moment I check out it was about 2 am. I return at 9 am and spoke with Freddie Pattah and told him everything that was going on and he insisted that I didn’t know how to work the locks on the door. We walked to the room that I checked out of at 2 am (which means that YES, my family and I slept in my car) so he could show me how to properly lock the door. When we got to the room I showed him that you DID NOT need a key card to get in the room and his response was, “well…I guess the lock IS broken. Please follow me back to the office so we can get your refund.” We get to the office and instead of a refund he offers me $50 and 3 15% off coupons for any Red Roof worldwide. 1st off, I have NEVER in my life stayed at a Red Roof and now I see why. When I told him that I needed my FULL refund, Freddie Pattah said that he would give my an extra $20 out of his own pocket but that’s the best he could do. I told him that that was unacceptable, he suggested us going to corporate and I agreed. He took my information down and said that he will email them and then me within the hour. I didn’t hear from Freddie Pattah until 4 days and that’s ONLY because I called him back. He answered the phone and then put someone else on the phone to tell me Freddie Pattah has to look up my information and will call me back. Several hours later Freddie Pattah (not corporate) emails me to say that they were (which means Freddie Pattah) unable to refund me ANY money because I took a shower in the room. So I call corporate, file a complaint and corporate tells me someone will reach out to me within 48 hours. Corporate lied because within that 48 hours the only email I get is from Freddie Pattah (who sends the email to me and corporate) telling me that there was NOTHING wrong with the door, I didn’t check out until the next morning around check out and that all Freddie Pattah can offer is $50 for my refund and NO vouchers because they already gave them to my husband WHICH WAS A DAMN LIE. PLEASE whatever you do DO NOT STAY AT RED ROOF IN DEARBORN MI. And for the simple fact that corporate was so Nonchalant about the process of correcting the matter of getting my refund makes me NOT want to deal with them OR anything that’s associated...

So I rented a room for me and my family. The first Very first thing I saw was The a little plate was missing out the microwave. I left to go get food for my family. And took me about an hour to get back to the room. Next thing I noticed I had no tissue in my bathroom. Nor did I have a garbage can in my room. The next thing I needed to do was charge my phones.It's which I could not because the blood was not properly plugged into the wall.As I'm plugging.The plug into the wall.I notice it's really dirty dusty with trash particles all up under the floor by the beds. Then I sent a little bug which I thought maybe was an outside bug given the fact that these rooms lead to outside. Fast forward to 4:30 in the morning. I'm being woke up at my sleep by my husband telling me we're leaving because he just killed a roach. Not only did I have to drive back home in a rain storm pouring down right? I had to shake all my clothes out before. I put them back in my car ran back. In my car barefooted because we were trying to get the hell out of it. When I told the lady at the front desk the first problem I had. I thought she was gonna give me a new one, but she did not. She gave me an extended checkout time which was to 12. Try calling them this morning to let them know what was going on. The general manager Freddie basically told me that if I wasn't happy within an hour I or 1and half. I should I have my room changed or a refund? Well, it wasn't even. 5 minutes and I wanted a refund or a changed room. And the lady told me that all the rooms are that way. So then it took me an hour to come back with my food. So how was I going to get my room changed? I booked this room through Expedia. Use my points that I had saved up and it basically was a waste. I should have looked at the reviews before. I can't even hear cause everything that other people reviewed is the same thing I have in pictures. As soon as I figure out how to post my pictures, I will be putting them on here. It went from not having the plate in the microwave. To having dirty sheets to not having tissue to not having a trash can to the floors being dirty and running out of the room at 5 o'clock in the morning because the room have roaches. Please make it make sense and the owner. Freddie does not want to give a refund. I've been to a red roof in before. Never this much problem, but I swear. I would never go to any red roof hotel motel whatever it is again. Whoever cleans these rooms should be ashamed...

The rooms looked nice at first. The people that work here are very nice and sweet(besides this one lady with black hair and lots of tattoos on her and a man) but…… I can tell since this place is super affordable almost anyone can stay or reside here. Problem is there are roaches and bedbugs everywhere!! I mean an infestation and there needs to be an extermination done for building 24130 rooms 103 & 119!! Actually the whole entire establishment placed in this area does. I am a funny acting kind of person when I stay outside of my house because when I was younger I had the same thing happen from vacationing so I look out for these things. First room me and my family was given was 119 turned the heat on got some food, and hunny when I tell you roaches was crawling from the dang mirror I was took back and scared for my life😭. Once I seen four of them crawling coming from multiple areas I checked the bed because I had placed my jacket there and ooouu child it was bedbugs crawling all over at this point it’s was mind boggling. Me and my family proceeded to talk with the people in the office they apologized offered for a new room mind you it’s like 2 am we are 5 hours from home and had been on the road all day prior so when asking for a refund all they said they could do is give us a new room until 7am and we could atleast get our $50 deposit back so we took the room with nothing else to do untill atleast 7am. Hoping this room would be different we were offered room 103 where there were also again found baby roaches and bedbugs!! I was bitten up as well as my mother!!! Ended up shaking everting thing out and placing things in car and slept in the car for the rest of the night from 3:30am to 7am( now I had to bomb my things as well as make sure we all keep our homes bug free!) Once 7am arrived we were able to get the $50 deposit back but not able to get a refund or some type of compensation back from the unhealthy, unsanitary establishment! The lady and man I stated above were very nasty about the situation with us asking for a refund but when we asked for one before even me or my family even telling her which rooms we were in she literally said” let me guess room 119”. Like huuuuuuhhhhhhh🤔, whatttttt yall know about this? Ughhhh so yall can live like this and expect others to as well???? That is not right for any person to be around rich or poor!!!! Truly...
