New York Deli — Restaurant in Dearborn

Phenomenal service and excellent food. Absolutely the best deli i have come across. The owner is passionate about his business, & his customers. He came by my table 4 times to make sure i had everything i needed, to get a drink for me, he grabbed my trash for me twice & double checked to see how i liked my sandwich. He did the same for everyone else in the deli. One of the line cooks even asked if i needed anything and how i liked the food on his way to drop off food to another table. The food is outstanding. I tried the NY Club, but will definitely be back to try more! Very large portions, reasonably priced. I will most definitely be bringing my business back here many times in the future. Clean, decently priced, and seems to be high quality. It's been a while since I've been able to recommend a deli place other than Alcamos and this place is outstanding for a hot deli sandwich (unlike Alcamos which is all cold). Prices are better than Mati's, though I haven't sampled enough of NY's menu yet to tell you if the taste is overall superior, but I was definitely impressed with their take on a turkey BLT. My only complaint is when actually eating there during lunch time I came out smelling like I was in a coney island kitchen, so they could improve the ventilation a bit. They are halal too and they have fresh juices so this is a nice place for a weekend...

The owner is AMAZING!!! I ordered a Reuben and I think about that sandwich daily!! We were in town back in September to lay my aunt to rest. After the funeral, I saw this place and literally demanded we stop to eat there. I’m not a big sandwich person but the NY Deli sign and store front was drawing me in! The service was phenomenal. The owner was so friendly and spunky! (I love that) I truly feel like I made a friend for life!
