This place is so gross and disgusting. The one time I’ve eaten I got food poisoning from it for 2 days, my girlfriend did as well, and we both ordered different items.

Not to mention that the building is infested with giant rats and millions of German cockroaches. They leave trash in the alley behind the store overnight, food waste, drinks, anything you can think of.

Do not eat here, if you want good food head to the west, far away from this trash restaurant.

Edit (in response to the response on my review): No cockroaches or rats? Is that why you tried using spray foam and cement to (very poorly) seal the gaps in the back of your building? I literally have video of rats the size of small dogs running around your back door, eating the trash you leave out there for days at a time. The whole alley is infested with cockroaches in the back and you leave food waste out back for days, it would be impossible for you not to have roaches.

Also love that you didn’t mention anything about my partner and I both getting sick within an hour of eating your disgusting food. You must be aware you are making people sick with your poor hygiene and improper stored food. Your workers come out back to smoke cigarettes, eat, and play on their phones, all while wearing gloves (which they don’t even take off before returning to work) they leave sugary drinks and food outside, along with bags of trash and food waste which also attracts the rats and roaches.

Since you want to lie in order to trick people to keep buying your disgusting food, I’ve included some pictures of the rats that run around the back of you business eating the trash you leave out at night.

I guess your owners are too busy buying themselves luxury cars to care about fixing the cleanliness and hygiene problems you have in your “restaurant”. You literally serve trash to people that makes them sick. I will never eat here again and I suggest everyone reading this review...

Every time I travel to Deerborn, I absolutely have to stop and eat here! It’s that awesome!

My dear Lebanese friend, So, introduced me to this place and I’m so very grateful that he did.

It is the proverbial “hole in the wall” small family type establishment run by very friendly people and literally everything on the menu is outstanding!

I am Italian but I am always treated very kindly just like every Arabic customer when I go here. The hospitality of the father and son at the counter is always genuine and much appreciated. They make you feel welcome!

My go to choices are 2 different sandwiches. I have to have them both every time because I adore them so.

First, the Basturma. This is one of the best sandwiches in the world! The flavor is incredible and unlike any other. If you like spiced meat like salami, then you are going to go crazy for Basturma!

Next, the Soujouk. Also one of the best sandwiches in the world. The Soujouk that they use here, is wonderfully delicious! Again, this is not a food that you can just find anywhere, especially down in Ohio where I live, so if you haven’t tried it, you need to! It’s THAT GOOD!

(My mouth is watering just writing this!)

Both of these sandwiches always go so excellent with the Arabic yoghurt drink from the small drink refrigerator next to the counter. I think this beverage totally compliments the food and is a much better choice than soda.

I guess I can sum up my opinion of Tuhamas by saying, “THIS FOOD IS HEAVEN ON EARTH!”

Also, The bread they use is also outstanding. IT’S REAL FOOD!

If you haven’t eaten here, you are missing out on one of the great treasures...

When you are abroad you need a taste from home, i am a very, very picky person, especially when it comes to food, some people can eat anything at any time just to fill their stomach, for me it is the opposite,if i am eating something it should be good stuff and delicious and tasty and this is the only way i eat. i tried a lot of other places that offer you sandwiches named like home, but the taste is not the same at all and in this case, after a time you will lose home about similar food, it tooks me year to find this place by a recommendation, i was hungry and i had to eat something, i went inside and tried my very best 2 sandwiches that i usually eat outside home, the chick tawook and the Meat shawarma, and guess what! i was ama6 and surprised by the taste , it is very very similar to home, and from now on, if i need to eat a tasty sandwich, this is the place that i will always go for. their prices are very affordable , the place is super clean, the service is super fast, and the staff are super nice. and the sandwich is very enough to make you full. i highly highly recommend this place for a nice...

If you’re ever in Dearborn and craving something seriously delicious, Tuhama’s is where it’s at. Their sandwiches are next level — packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and just the right amount of messy (in the best way). You can tell they’re not cutting corners here; every bite feels like something straight out of a kitchen back in Lebanon. From the juicy shawarma to the crispy falafel and the unbeatable garlic sauce, everything tastes super authentic. It’s got that home-cooked, real-deal Lebanese vibe you don’t always find around here. Plus, the portions? Generous. You’re not walking away hungry, that’s for sure. Whether you grew up eating this food or it’s your first time trying it, Tuhama’s delivers big time. It’s casual, cozy, and all about the flavor. Definitely a must-try if you’re in the area.
