I went early so it was fairly empty. It was very clean, like noticeably clean which was great. They start you off with homemade chips & salsa. Very tasty. My waitress was very laid back & friendly. They don't serve draft beer or liquor or margaritas so that's the only downer. I had a bottle of domestic beer for $3.99. That's a little high for my budget, but the waitress said they are working on getting margaritas etc. I had the chile relleno dinner with rice, beans & the corn tortillas. I was surprised that fresh tortillas (choice of flour or corn) come with each meal. It was a nice touch & the corn tortillas tasted homemade & were delightful. I put the fresh pico de gallo & sour cream that came with my plate in them & they were yummy. My chile rellenos were delicious. Beans were good but rice was a little undercooked. I hate to say anything negative because it is a family business & they are working hard to make it nice. But out the door my entire meal with the 1 beer was $22 (including tax & a 20% tip), which is a little higher than I'd value my meal etc. But I'm sure they pay a decent sum for rent in the strip mall they're in, & they do have cheaper lunch combination meals, I just didn't try them. Also I'm from TX so I may be biased âș; I grew up with very good Mexican food. If you're in the area & want a clean Mexican restaurant with absolutely fresh & tasty everything, give it a shot. It's definitely worth a visit. I may be back to try something else from their menu. They had...
Read moreI will start off by saying great service great decor and a welcomed addition to Debary. Kudos to you opening during a pandemic.
Beer and wine only so no margaritas.
Salsa tastes like tostitos doctored up with cilantro
Tortilla chips are not tortilla chips they are thick fried triangles that more resemble like stacey's pita chips you get at the supermarket and they have no salt on them whatsoever
Chimichanga with beef had corn carrots and celery inside very odd flavor they also did not top with queso which im used to and they do not have queso at all so cant order a side of it either
Burrito Classico was decent not a flavor bomb like carne asada should be but definitely got eaten
Side order of rice and refried beans...rice super bland and over cooked or dry im not sure just not that good Refried beans were decent good consistency
Best thing was my glass of wine and the service but food was edible and for the average american i think people may like it if they like bland food but as much as i love to support local authentic shouldn't be anywhere near this restaurants description...
Prices were a bit high for what you got but not terrible especially with COVID rise in food prices
However I sincerely...
Read moreBeen here several times now and the food and the service were excellent every time. We always go early when we eat out to avoid any type of crowds. Every time we were seated immediately with no wait. Margarita's were great, beer has been ice-cold served with a frosty glass. The chips are different than any other Mexican restaurant but I liked them, not your typical chip and seemed home made. Salsa was good with a little kick that creeps up on you. Not hot but spicy. Menu is stupid large but I am a creature of habit so I always order the same deluxe burrito everywhere I go and theirs is great. Lots of steak and was tender with lots of flavor. Wife usually orders Fajitas and while pricey, there was a lot of them. She said they also were great. We have ordered the Jalapeño poppers as an appetizer and they were deep fried and again excellent. The queso is full of jalapenos and is excellent. We have tried all the Mexican places in Debary & Orange City and find this one to...
