We came to this CAVA because we love CAVA. The food was great as usual the employees on the other hand were not. The manager or as she claims to be the manager Jamilya or whatever her name is is extremely rude. We got to a table the only 4 seater in the restaurant and we’re eating and she came over and told us not to move the tables which first of all we never moved it was like that and she said it in such a tone that she was ordering us and superior to us. We complained then our table was dirty, there was literal leftover rice on it, and she proceeded to tell us it won’t come off because of lamination. It is left over rice. rice does not stick to lamination anyone with a third grade education would know that. She proceeded to come clean the table. She then proceeded to clean it by spraying the soap into my dad’s food and wiping the table and leaving soap residue on it and when we tried to correct her, she told us to leave as we were being disruptive. Mind you there’s no one else in the restaurant. She sprayed literal soap into our food and left soap in the table how does it feel? It’s rude to clean the table when people are eating and then spraying literal soap into the food their eating? Shame on you. She charged us for red pepper hummus as well and never gave it, I had to inform her she needed to give us pita chips we also paid for. How hard is it to give us our order when they’re no customers in the restaurant. Honestly she shouldn’t be working here if she can’t do her basic job. CAVA...
Read moreI recently visited this Cava location when I attended a concert at Emory. It was my first visit to a Cava. I have to say; I was deeply disappointed.
I travel a lot. So, I eat at a lot of restaurants and cafes all over the globe. I try to temper my expectations. When I went to this Cava, I gave them a blank slate so that I could have a better idea of the food, service, and atmosphere. They didn't nail any of the three.
As I entered, I saw a lovely space, very modern and tailored toward the college crowd that it serves. That was as far as the good impression went.
No one greeted me. No one really acknowledged me. The guy who prepared what they call a salad didn't really say much, more utterances than anything.
As you can see in the pics, the bowl was about 65% full. And, there is barely in evidence of actual salad. The flavors of the dressing were overpowering, likely due to over application.
Maybe the taste of the food would have been ok if there had been a good balance of ingredients.
I also ordered a fruit drink, which was average. And, the ice machine had zero ice in it.
You can read my many other reviews. I am not often harsh. I will not return to this Cava. I might try an alternate location. But, this one got its last...
Read moreI love Cava. I eat at the other location on Blackmon Drive in Decatur very often when I’m in town. This Cava falls far below the standard of Cava standards. The portions are extremely small, even when you pay for extra, you still end up with half the serving you’d receive at any other Cava. The ingredients taste weirdly watered down than those at other Cavas. The tomato & cucumber salad tasted like it had just been sitting in water. Maybe it wasn’t kept at the right temperature and the water from the cucumbers took over. I don’t know, but their ingredients are bland. They all tasted like nothing. Other Cavas have fresh foods that burst with flavor. Even their specialty drinks were watered down. The pita bread was old. It had been sitting out and hardened.
Lastly, the service I received was quite condescending. I like my toppings next to one another as opposed to being all piled on top. This isn’t a big deal. It’s the preposition next to versus on top of, right? They acted like I asked them donate a kidney. I...
