This is the last time I will ever go to Freddy's. Tonight we go to Freddy's for a little family dinner. We order our food and sundaes. We had our sundaes put on hold until we finished eating. The food we received was excellent. The young lady who took our order was great!
After placing our order and receiving/eating our dinner was where this turned out badly.
My husband went up to the counter and let them know we were ready for them to make our sundaes (we were well aware there would be a small wait for them). 10 minutes go by.....20 minutes go by..... he went to the counter to check on the status of our sundaes and were completely ignored by the staff. After about 5 minutes of being ignored we finally got the attention of someone. They very rudely informed us they didn't have an order for us. My husband went over and got our receipt off our table and showed them, yes, we do have a pending order.
After a long wait of employees bickering, being told they won't refund the sundaes, being ignored some more someone got on the phone and called upper management (I'm guessing that's who it was). Were were told to come back tomorrow and we could get our sundaes then. WHAT???? Why can't someone just make the sundaes we never received????
After almost 40 minutes we decide to leave. All this time not once did they offer to make our sundaes. Finally, we asked for a refund on the 4 sundaes we never received. We were informed, "we don't do refunds".
Not once did we get an apology and we never even got our sundaes. We got attitude and dirty looks.
Word of caution, if you put a sundae on hold and don't receive it, you will NOT get a refund.

I called the store and asked for the corporate number the lady ask him the manager Leo what the corporate number was and I heard him ask if that is the same guy he just talked to She ask me if I was the one that just talked to Leo I said yes she told him yes Loe told her to tell me to look it up or Google it and call hung up phone on me I then tried looking up the number but was not able to find one so I called the Madison store and talked to Andrew and he said he would talk to his DM and would have him to call me that he or the or manager would and will get me the refund I was due but have not heard from that...

I ordered a patty melt combo, a side of cheese curds, and some cheese sauce. You get a decent amount of food, but it's all kind of mediocre except for the cheese curds. The grilled onions on my melt were also cooked pretty well for a fast food place. The cheese curds are probably the only thing I would come back for and only then if one of my friends really wanted to go. It feels like this is supposed to be a custard shop that also happens to serve food, as opposed to a fast food place that serves custard, so maybe the custard is just extremely good and that makes up for the food. I wouldn't know because I didn't get any.
Update 3 years later: I can probably count on my hands the number of times I have been back since they opened and I can confirm I have returned only for the cheese curds, but have tried couple of custard mixers. My original review...
