Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Decatur

I have become very disappointed in Marcos lately. I've been a customer of the Decatur Marcos since its opening, but over the past year my experiences are hit or miss. Unfortunately, it's been mainly a miss. They really have fallen quite far from what was previously the best and most consistent pizza place in Decatur. I know that's only my opinion, but my family looked forward to eating there at least twice a week, sometimes more. Now it seems we only eat there when we're too tired to cook in hopes that this time it'll actually be as good as it used to be. However, it feels more like they are competing for last place against Little Caesars. I had hope things would be better after seeing what looked like a group of management visiting frequently, but it seemed the pizza was even worse on those days. I would also like to add that it feels like there is too much management, and not enough workers. Just an observation, not a statement. I understand that it is difficult to find quality staff these days, but maybe a redirection of funds towards the workers instead of management would be better suited. Then again, maybe it's the training. This is all just my opinion, but I am really getting close to becoming a previous customer if things do not change in a timely manner. Lastly, to whomever may read this review, understand that I do not want anything for free nor do I want anything offered to me. I just want the positive consistency back at the Decatur location before it ends like Pizza Hut did. On the positive side, I will say that the customer service has been quite good, even if the food is lackluster. I truly hope this reaches someone that can help this location become...

Love Marco's... in Huntsville, Madison, Hartselle and at one time Decatur. I live in Decatur and puppy/house sit when needed in the Huntsville, Madison, Hartselle & Decatur area. I have ordered from Marco's in every city where I've been sitting. I was sitting for a friend, who lives less than 1 mile from my house, and ordered from this, Decatur store, with no problems. When I returned home which is 1 block away from the Albany district, I called in a delivery only to hear that Marco's WILL NOT deliver to my house!!! WHAT! You've got to be joking!!! I live less than a mile where you DID deliver and a block away from the historical district where you also deliver. I've seen Marco's cars in the neighborhood so what's the problem? I live & own my house so it's not like I live in a shack and I have great neighbors. As a former waitress, assistant manager in the food service industry I tip really well. So what's up Marco's? All though I love just about everything on Marco's menu, I will not patronize this store. Whoever owns this franchise needs to change your delivery area. In the meantime I'll be visiting a friends in Madison & Huntsville this afternoon and will grab pizzas, salad and desserts from Marco's in Huntsville for my home in Decatur. I'm beginning to think the main office needs to be notified. If I get a response like the other review with the same problem I probably will. It made me wonder if you even read her complaint because your response was generic and didn't even address...

My son and I just finished filling up on the specialty pizza (Hawaiian) and 2 topping (pepperoni and old world pepperoni) we had delivered tonight from the only Marco's I am 100% certain I will ALWAYS be more than satisfied eating at and am, once again, COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY HAPPY!!! Not only was our pizza FABULOUSLY topped and delicious, but the delivery guy was incredibly fast and super friendly and courteous! (I tip in cash so his service was not based off tip from my card purchase! That says A LOT!!!) Idk about other Marcos franchises, but this one will ALWAYS have my heart (and stomach)! Whether I order and pick it up myself or have to go with delivery, I have nothing but high praise for every individual employee I've ever met there and they truly deserve it! I had only one issue in the past with them that was not even their fault, but my own as a mistake I made when ordering online, yet they graciously fixed it at their expense and, honestly, it meant a lot to me!
