I’m not impressed. I’ve given this place quite a few chances. There’s a lot left to be desired. Tonight was the last visit unless I hear of some changes.
Creating food from scratch is an art. I think that’s why Asian meals appeal to so many. Combining so many elements to create an experience can’t be rushed.
I didn’t take photos of the meal. I find that tacky. I’ll start by saying that when ordering an appetizer it should always come out in enough time for the table to actually enjoy it before the main course. That’s not happening at Rock n roll.
I don’t like the thaw and cook method of serving customers especially at this price point. The appetizers were obviously not prepared when order was placed. The breaded items were not fully cooked on the outside and hot on the inside.
Rice for sushi should always be worked with cold. It’s best to cook it the day before and refrigerate it over night before use. These sushi rolls were warm despite being cold serve items, with little to no rice, and falling apart. There was no way to properly use chopsticks to pick them up and forks didn’t help.
My youngest loves sushi and actually had to throw up after eating his roll. He was very sorry that happened because this meal wasn’t cheap to purchase. I spent 100.00 on 4 rolls and an appetizer along with 4 drinks and the tip.
The place always feels dirty too. Scratches on the doors, walls and tables, along with the tape on the chairs doesn’t make any of us feel like we are in a clean establishment. The menus feel greasy and unclean and the windows and tables could use a real cleaning. I need to add the floor was sticky and my feet got stuck to the floor walking in several places.
The waitress was friendly and fairly prompt. She was anxious for us to order and hovered over us while we tried to read the menu but I won’t hold it against her. She should have allowed us room to read and decide.
As stated earlier, I won’t be back. All of these things combined made for an experience none of us wish to repeat and begrudging to drop 100.00 on a less than well prepared dining experience. I’ll drive to Madison for...

Needs to be talked to by upper management, I eat here basically 2-4 times a month and she made me sit at the table for twenty minutes with no contact after bringing me my receipt, I stood up and said "hey are we not allowed to pay at tables anymore?" And she proceeded to smart off to me and lie to the other servers saying I cussed at her because I let her know "you talked yourself out of your tip lady by being rude" and then some pink and blue haired thing with black lipstick on came out to my car window and stuck his finger in the window in my face and threatened me not to come back, I'll be back, you 2 individuals need to be fired from this location as I've never had this issue in the countless other times I've came to this location to eat. Train your employees on self defense before they keep stepping up to fight people in the parking lot, very unprofessional and going to get somebody hurt. Read moreUnfortunately I hate doing this to businesses but it has to be done. I love sushi and I’ve been eating here since this place first opened . Either that by door dash or dining in. But the last few times I’ve order from the place has not been good. It would end with me have some slight stomach ache but Especially the last order I had during the last few days of November. I made a pick up order. But after getting my food and I ate everything. Within 30 minutes I was having extreme stomach pains to the point where I finally threw up the food. I had called right after. The manager was more than happy to assist me but sadly the owner was not. The manager said they would have them give me a call back within a hour or two but they never did. Sadly I will not be returning to this business as I’m afraid to eat from there again. I’m hoping with this the owner will take into consideration to make sure all the equipment is cleaned and the food is fresh. I will be also contacting the department of food safety about this incident.
