I hate to give a small business a low review but Kelly earned it outright. I brought in 3 bracelets and 2 chains all 14k 5 weeks ago for repairs. They told me the items would be ready in 7-10 days and on the tenth I returned to the store having not been contacted as promised. They told me all but one bracelet was done, gave me the pieces and said they would call when the last bracelet was finished. One of my necklaces that I took for a clasp repair had its clasp and accompanying hardware exchanged with 10k pieces. I took the chain back and showed that they had replaced 14k pieces with 10k pieces and they attempted to charge me extra to get the comparable equipment even though a repair suggests that the item is returned to it’s original likeness. After some debate they agreed to change it free of charge and it would be done in another 2 days. Upon return to pick up the item I see the clasp has been replaced to 14k but a shade not matching the chain itself and it still has and end bracket reading 10k. Kelly attempted to convince me that I brought in my 14k chain with mix matching components to the extent to which I was ready to take my chain as is to another shop to correct it. Then another employee explained that they had made a mistake at which time he plead that I let him correct the mistake and get the chain to me later that day which I obliged and never happened. I came back in the store after the weekend on Monday to retrieve the necklace and he showed me that he had to order a 14k end bracket because he had none in the store and shook my hand to ensure me he would have it later that day to which he never came through. Keep in mind it is 3 weeks since the initial pickup. Not to mention Kelly compared his business to me being a mechanic which I am not, and a random black woman walked in the store with her kids and he assumed it was my wife and kids. He tells me how busy he is every time I have to come in searching for my items and really makes me feel as if all the other people who walk in after me are more important customers than I am. I will be retrieving my items, cutting my losses and going to another store...

This is truly the most difficult review I have ever left. As a small business owner myself, I choose to do business with only other small businesses when possible. Unfortunately, this is just not the place for me. Since day one, the honesty has not been there. I was told he likes to do business with the people that do business with him and was going to do business with us in exchange. This never happened. However, I continued to do business with only them as I wanted to support a local guy. Everything I have bought for the last 10+ years has been from Kelly.

Last year I went in to order myself a new necklace. I was told he was too busy to come back another day. I came back the next week, spoke to Kelly, and was told he would call me the following week to order what I wanted. Two weeks later I returned, as there was no return call, and he once again apologized for the lack of call as he was “too busy” and would call me next week. He had my card and assured me he would not forget.

Several months later, I still had not heard from him so I ordered the necklace I wanted from another jeweler. However, to let bygones be bygones, I returned today to buy a replacement necklace for my wife, which she broke, that was purchased from him. I was charged full price for the replacement and told he had been too busy before to order what I had wanted the previous year.

Ultimately, I do not feel like I was valued as a customer and only seen as a few bucks to be made. I caution you all to find a jeweler who truly values you as an individual instead of thinking of you only in terms of money. I would look elsewhere...
