First time visiting, since the restaurant itself was a cool looking building. The host immediately greeted me and took me to a booth. Unfortunately, the rest of the dinner was underwhelming.
Chips and salsa were immediately brought out. The salsa must have been stored inside the container in a fridge because it stuck to the glass when I turned it upside down to pour into a bowl (like a Dairy Queen blizzard). Only after giving a couple pats on the back did it actually pour. Taste-wise, I agree with other reviewers that the chips were kind of stale and the salsa was so-so.
I ordered a margarita to drink, and it came out very fast so my hunch was that it was pre-mixed. Taste was good enough for my palate, not too sweet or strong - perfectly fine for a house marg.
Their food menu was large, but pretty much just slight variations of the same thing. Prices were kind of all over the place though, so I wasn't sure to get. I played it safe and got the Burritos Deluxe - basically two burritos with chicken, beans, onions, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream. Presentation was okay. First bite though, I immediately found a bone in the chicken, which kind of grossed me out for a second. I kept eating though and thankfully no others were found. That said, the chicken was pretty bland. I was left feeling like I should have just made my own burrito at home.
I was hoping that at least the service would somewhat make up for it, but the server (a) did not check up on me during the meal once - I would've requested water, and (b) took too long to take my plate and give me the bill. I would understand if the place was packed, but there were hardly any tables filled.
Maybe this was just an off night for them? Either way, doubtful I return unless maybe just to get a drink. Hope they figure it out because the staff was friendly...
Read moreOrdered pickup through Door Dash. I arrived a few minutes after the "ready for pickup" message.
Was told it wasn't ready because they "didn't print the receipt" (I have no idea what that means--I don't understand how that would lead to getting a ready for pickup alert when it's not). A mistake is fine, but not explaining the mistake not fine. If you're going to take an extra 20 minutes of my time I should at least know why.
Also, the food tasted like cleaning products the last time I ordered, but had been good prior to the last order. Since this was me giving the food a second chance, the poor service was not a good way to win me back.
Food is 4 or 5 stars when it isn't tainted by whatever disinfectant they use. It's 1-star if you get unlucky and they prepare the food after whatever cleaning method they use.
I'll update my review if the owner or manager comments on how they'll address the DoorDash issue and the cleaning product issue. I'm not looking for a free or discounted meal--just want to ensure I can order from here in the future without it being a lottery as to whether the experience will be positive...
Read moreFood quality and customer service at this location needs improvement. I told the guy I'm here to pick up my order for Andre Putman and he said it wasn't there! I told him I ordered it online, showed him the receipt on my phone, and he kept asking if I ordered through doordash or something. Order online through Cortana. He even tried to make it seem like it was my fault because I didn't immediately say I ordered from Cortana and he read the receipt on the counter with my name on it. He claim he was trying to be careful so no one just pick up the order but who else will pick up an order of my name on it that's not paid for yet! Also the food tastes was just okay. The Red Bank road location is much better. And restaurants complain about food delivery apps high fees. That's why I ordered online and went there myself to pick it up. And restaurants want us to support their business. Why? I sure will not...
