I am am a retired military employee with a full military pension. I am also noticeably disabled. It is my opinion my that my age and disability played a major part in the way i was treated by the regular staff on Sunday, October 8th, 2023. Reservations are required on Sundays during football season. We made a reservation for 2. We needed to arrive by 3:00pm or we would lose the reservation. I arrived at 2:45pm. I asked the server where our table was. She seemed confused. She went to the back. Upon returning, she told me to pick a table for 2 that was marked reserved. My friend arrived at 3:10pm and sat with me. We had ordered iced teas and we were served the teas. At 3:40pm, one of the regular servers came to our table and said in a condescending tone to me, "I hate to 'burst your bubble,' but this table is reserved and you will have to move." I responded, "You did not burst any bubbles. We have reservations and told to sit at our choosing at any table reserves for 2." The waitress was adamant about us moving and proceeded to sternly say, "THIS TABLE IS RESERVED FOR A COUPLE WHO SIT HERE EVERY SUNDAY!!! SINCE YOU DO NOT HAVE RESERVATIONS YOU WILL HAVE TO MOVE." Again, I informed her we had reservations. At this, a second waitress got involved. I was able to explain to her that we had reservations. She went to the back to verify. Upon returning, she informed us that there had been a mistake, but we would still have to move. We found a table for two and moved there. However, I am frustrated with 2 issues about your reservation policies:
Your reservation plates placed on the tables do not display a specific name for whom it is reserved for.
Why were we told we needed to be there by 3:00pm or we would lose our reservation when a "regular couple" appeared well past 3:00pm and their reservation was honored.
Sadly, this totally ruined my time at MVP Sports Bar. It only takes one time to make a lasting bad impression. My take on this is, "Unless you are a youthful familiar face at MVP Sports Bar, be prepared to be treated as a second class citizen. This Waitress did indeed "burst my bubble!" Just not in the way she expected to.
Never to return,

Read moreI wish I could give this place a 0. When they initially served undercooked food on 4/01/2023, I never should havewent back. The staff are very rude and unprofessional. Today 5/24/2023, " Melinda" called the police on my daughter stating she was threatening to fight her and banned her from the place because she called to inquire about a credit she was promised and was trying to get free food. Threatened me with the police and had not even talked to me, I was calling to place an order and attempt to rectify what was going on. I literally had just purchased food the night before. This was all on the phone and recorded. The woman acted like a maniac. Sad part is owner backed this behavior and did not attempt to step in, make a follow up call or anything. Unfortunately, I can not upload the video of the conversations to show proof but I have attached my receipt from last night because we had still been patriates. This experience is simply unreal. Consumer be ware! Totally believe that do not like people of color.
I showed up yesterday early unaware of the fact they were not open yet or closed for a private party so I entered and the bartender nicely told me it was closed for a private event and offered me some suggestions of other places to go until I could come back which was helpful and I appreciate so when I left I found another bar not too far away called Brother’s Cafe where they were also hosting a private event but after telling them my situation that I’m from out of town needed a place to chill for a couple hours they happily let me chill and hang out there while they had their birthday party. I went back to the venue for the show and I asked if there was somewhere I could set my back pack so I didn’t have to hold on to it all night and the bartender told me no I had to carry my backpack all night. I couldn’t do that so I eventually left it on a table and tried to keep an eye on it but my phone charger is missing regardless. I was having a blast at the show and then the owner approached me and he let me know he saw me fall in my Gene Simmons style platforms and that he might have to kick me out and I begged him not to and I changed shoes and I was fine but I no longer go to wear my kiss boots at the kiss show and I did not see the owner get onto anyone else not saying he didn’t but I felt singled out and this was my birthday celebration will not be back. The heels I wore are actually my work shoes and I’m still getting over the aftermath of a stroke and this was my first big...
