I ate there yesterday and I woke up at 3-4am feeling sick and nobody uses gloves there I think I only saw one person with gloves preparing dough it’s almost 5am it’s 4:43am and I feel like I am about to throw up I am not accepting food from this place ever again. I should have known better but I was hungry. I had two slices of pizza and two meatball subs the people there are decent. “Yes, if food handlers don't wear gloves while preparing food, it can potentially make a customer feel sick or throw up because there's a higher risk of bacteria transferring from their hands to the food, which could lead to foodborne illness if the bacteria is harmful enough; even if they wash their hands, gloves provide an extra barrier against contamination. Key points about why not wearing gloves can make a customer sick: Bacteria transfer: Hands can carry bacteria even after washing, and touching food with bare hands can transfer these bacteria directly to the food, potentially causing illness if the bacteria is pathogenic. Cross-contamination: If a food handler touches raw meat and then touches ready-to-eat food without washing their hands or changing gloves, bacteria from the raw meat can contaminate the ready-to-eat food.” While making this review I quite literally threw up and I’m not going to add photos of that because I know nobody wants to see that and make them feel sick… it’s now 5:47am I threw up and had diarrhea then threw up again and had diarrhea even more and if anything I could possibly throw up again I know they didn’t poison me but it feels like they did because I never feel like this I am quite literally never accepting food from these people ever again I had two slices of cheese pizza and two meatball subs and a water that they offered me because I was looking for a job and they told me to show up which I did they were pretty respectful but they are going to get someone killed by not following food safety guidelines and regulations you should always be wearing gloves because if that happens to another person that’s not good I think a good health inspector should probably inspect the place I threw up a lot. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! edit: I wanted to say they didn't touch fresh food with raw food however my concern is a kid or an elderly is going to get really sick like I did and part of me feels bad for even writing a review because a kid works there and I'm sure they are a kid of the owner or one of the employees and I get that people need money and things like that to provide for their family but I also live on my own and life is not easy but basically by not wearing gloves when preparing food or even touching the trash can to move it and not washing your hands like prepping cheese etc. that is already cross contamination you have to wear gloves on top of washing your hands and the reason im writing this is hopefully I get the attention of the owner to make sure employees are washing their hands and wearing gloves for food and every time your gonna touch raw food or fresh food you have to swap gloves or if you touch the trash can you have to wash your hands and swap gloves I literally felt so sick and to me this is a risk because I could potentially lose a spot of working here but I want to prevent the elderly from getting sick or dying or people who don't have good immune systems I'm young so I know I will be okay but that doesn't stop others from getting sick or what if something happens to a kid? I am someone's son so imagine if it were your kids? you have to inform employees of food safety especially if they don't have experience in the kitchen and if someone says thank you say your welcome at least yk or my pleasure it's just called manners and all food should be cooked to a certain temperature you guys should check the temperature not just assume because it could easily be at a temperature it's not supposed to be at...
Read moreMy husband and I love the other All Stars location, not sure if these are franchise or both own by the same people but this location was quite disappointing. We walked in and stood there for several minutes without being acknowledged. The staff were among themselves chatting behind the counter with one of them showing something on their phone. When they finally realized we were standing there waiting one of the three gentleman walked over to the register to take our order and just as I was going to say what I wanted he answered the phone. Didn’t say anything just picked up the phone that had just rung and proceeded to take their order. We wanted to get the lunch special and got there three minutes before 3pm, by the time they took our order it was 3:05 and they didn’t even honor the lunch special!
The pizza was good and so were the mozzarella but I was too grossed out to even finish my food and just threw it away once we left. I will not be returning to this location.
It takes a lot for me to leave bad reviews, I don’t like leaving them but I don’t like having bad experiences either and this was a...
Read moreAfter scouring Deerfield Beach for the perfect slice, I stumbled upon All Star Pizza, a spot that might not grab your attention at first glance but will forever hold a place in your heart once you've had a taste. Walking in, the vibe is immediately welcoming—staff greet you like an old friend, ready to share their love for pizza with every customer who walks through the door.
But let's talk about the main event: the pizza. Imagine a crust so perfectly cooked it offers that rare, elusive crunch with every bite, a harmonious balance that's neither too thick nor too thin, just sturdy enough to hold the generous, melty blanket of cheese on top. The cheese itself is a star; it's clear they use a high-quality blend that's rich, flavorful, and pulls just right—every cheese lover's dream.
What makes this pizza stand out is the attention to detail. The sauce is tangy and applied with restraint, allowing the crunch of the crust and the savory cheese to take center stage. Every bite is a testament to the craftsmanship and passion that goes into making these pies.
While I'm no Dave Portnoy, if I were to channel my inner pizza connoisseur, I'd give All Star Pizza in Deerfield Beach a solid 8.0. In a world of endless pizza options, All Star Pizza distinguishes itself with its friendly staff, impeccable crunch, and cheese that's simply out of this world. This isn't just a pizza; it's an experience—one that I'll be coming back for...
