Cafe & Bakery 2000 — Restaurant in Deerfield Beach

This bakery is close to my place so I am getting their stuff weekly for the last 6 years. However their team have always difficult to give information about their products. Today I asked if they have Cassava cake (bolo de mandioca) and they didn’t. I asked when they have new cakes. Nobody knew. I asked what is “Cassarola”, that they have… nobody knew the ingredients… 🫠 Maybe cheese, maybe coconut. The team are very welcoming but unfortunately very poorly informed about the products that they sell. I love their “coxinhas” and other pastry and sandwiches, specially the “pão francês com bife, pimentão e cebola”. But you have to know what you want and not get there depending on them to help you to find it out. They have always new employees in their team, lacking good training about their products, ingredients, expiration date of the in house products and when new products will be baked. By the way, I bought the Cassarola cake and it was delicious. Apparently it was made with cheese but I didn’t feel coconut flavor at all!

I am brazilian and I usually buy from brazilian bakeries to support my community but this bakery is by far the worst brazilian bakery! I ordered a cake for my birthday on the 29th of december and i called a week earlier to set all details straight and they required me to a pay a deposit for my cake. ON THE DAY, the cake was picked up at 6:30pm and apparently the cake confectioner was not there and they decided to make botched cakes and my cake melted and the cursive saying happy birthday was incomprehensible and not literate, I called the owner and everything and he seemed to be used to these types of incidents and my family member informed me that she had been to three birthday parties with botched melted cakes that aren’t ice cream cakes. if you need a birthday cake and want it to be presentable I suggest you go elsewhere. It was a immensely disappointing moment for me on my 18th birthday because I had an already stressful day,I ended up having to spend more money and buying publix cupcakes for my birthday because I wasnt going to serve a hideous cake...

One word Excellent !!! Located not far off West on 10th St and i95. You know I appreciate great, professional service and there is no shortage here. The staff greets you with genuine smiles and treat you like family. The food was made to order which made it even better. A treat for me was washing it down woth an ice cold passion fruit drink. Cheese puffs and other delicious pastries were all made to perfect. The price is ok and the quality exceeds your expectations. There's breakfast lunch and a sports bar attached where it is set up for live music. Go and check this place out you won't be disappointed. We should support or mom and pop establishments.

Update 4/2/22 : Took a friend there on Saturday and we ordered the same meal that I raved about. Unfortunately, it was so salty meal was inedible. Clerk was nice and offered to make it again but we were in a hurry. That was so disappointing and hoping to give them one more attempt back to perfection. Service was great as always. I will add the new pics from Saturday. We only ate the sides and left...
