Take off your shoes before you bite your ribs, so you can wiggle your toes while eating them. They are that dang good. The ribs are amazing and the only one's I've had that you can eat the darn gristle lol. They are that tender. They have their own Baked bean recipe and they are good but I would have loved to have the choice of having beans without hambuger meat in them. The Potato salad was store bought which totally surprised me. The half and whole slab prices are beyond fare. I'll upload the menu soon as this will most likely be my main BBQ joint. This restaurant has modern/old school farm type theme. It's clean and quiet. Staff is nice and polite. It's the perfect spot to have a private dinner date. I love the food. Google has them listed as open on Sundays but the Sunday we went they were not open so be sure and call first but make sure you get your butt over there to eat, you won't be disappointed.

My hubby and I wanted a good chopped or sliced beef brisket sandwich and we got one. You can dine in, (very casual) please bring mask for entry and ordering. We ordered fries and you can choose okra or baked beans. Sandwich came with pickle spear, pepperoccini and choice of spicy or mild BBQ sauce. DId I mention the order taker was polite and brought the food to our table, I suppose that might depend on the amount of business. They have coke products and in lieu of peach tea they usually serve, which we're fond of, they had sweet tea and lemonade. You might be able to see their hours on store pic I took. Sorry I took a bite of sandwich before pic, we skipped breakfast! Enjoy!

Very good brisket. Was tender, with nice crust and flavor. BBQ sauce was also good. Looked to be family owned, and the service was good. They also have a cake of the day which I would have tried if I wasn't in a hurry. Definitely will be back! I was comparing BBQ places around OKC because I wanted to try the best place, and settled on smokey rays because the few bad reviews didn't seem to be food related (i.e. though the service could have been nicer, were upset they closed early, etc); and the picture on Maps of the brisket looked really good haha. I wasn't disappointed!

I first discovered this gem when I ate at their food truck on base.... several( 4 or 5) years ago. I turned my Tinker family onto them and have never heard a negative report/review from any of them. I turned my family onto them(5 bothers and sisters, three kids and a bazillion cousins all in the Mid-Del area) and trust me, some of them are picky and finicky as all get out....again not one negative comment about food or service. I have followed them from on Sunnylane to the new place on 29th. I have never experienced or seen anyone treated poorly or rudely. Every time I visit they greet me with a smile and always a kind word. When they are on base the lines at their truck is always three or four deep and I see many repeat customers.... so they must be doing something right! I've eaten at the set down on 29th. Its always been clean, comfortable and inviting. And sure, there isn't always someone at the front counter, its a family run business and they all pitch in where needed, but when they do get to the counter, there's always a smile and apology for making us wait. Eating here has always been a treat and I love it more than just the food(but that spicy pulled pork makes it a lot...

EDIT: I called and re requested a refund and she said u bring the food back but dont ever come back i replied kindly with ok thank u. We took food back as per requested but upon entering she says do not bring that food back in here i say i thought you asked for it back? I said i was sorry if i upset her she was very unhappy and i feel bad but theres no reason to be so ugly ive been so kind and respectful its not our fault the food is bad 😔 I hope they get some improvements and business i think they coild be good with some work really i do!

I really wanted to love it! Ribs were burnt fries brown and wilty and had nacho cheese that was spicy and cheap. They didn't want to refund and tried to replace but replacement was not good either. I had to melt my own cheese on fries and came with cheap bread. Mac n cheese was edible but not great! Nobody was in there to serve us and no bell to ding for service. I'm so sad I paid 35$to eat lunch with my baby as we rarely have the money to eat out bug feel we should've received a refund as per requested. I really wanted to love it but I just can't needs work for sure and now we can't even eat no money left and this food...

The staff (who gave me "proud owner" vibes) was extremely nice and helpful to this hungry and indecisive BBQ fan. If that wasn't enough to make me a repeat customer, the ribs fell off the bone and just sighed. Or maybe that was me, still sighing from when I opened the foil and the smokey aroma hit me anew. The perfect flavor assaulted my taste buds so drastically I was one rib down before I remembered "I have BBQ sauce"! These are the kind of ribs I dream of when I want good ribs. I have much more I could say but my mouth is still on fire from the hot link and I can't think straight anymore. I've got to go handle this, now. 🔥 You should pop in to Smokey Ray's. You want THAT smoke! Seriously.

Update 6/25/2022: Wheat Bread. There is a thing in certain parts of the South, an obsession really, that I call "smoked meats & white bread". It will follow us all over the country... some might not get it but I do. Unfortunately I don't like white bread so I usually just skip it. Today I forgot to say anything and I got wheat! Love it! Keep on keeping on,...
