First time trying this location and unfortunately will not be back. We called to order two pizzas for pickup, a 14" all meat and 19" margherita. Somehow that came out to $73! The prices aren't listed on the website, we tried the order online option, but the build your own was adding up quick, which is why we chose to just pick two off the menu. We were told that all pizzas are an extra $3.50 for each additional topping. We stated we didn't add any extra toppings, we just wanted it "as is" off the menu. They said no matter what, you get charged extra for all the toppings. We want to support local, but two (smaller) pizzas being over $70 makes us want to stick with a chain option. (We ended up canceling the second pizza, and only got one margherita.)
Not to mention - we were told it would be ready in about 20 min, we live less than 10 min away so we left right after getting off the phone. Pizza was done when we got there, came straight home, and the pizza was cold. Not "warm", actually cold, like it had been sitting out for quite some time. (Not sure if we got someone else's old order?) The cheese definitely looked like it had been sitting out awhile. When we grabbed the pieces with crust, the crust was SO dry and brittle (and stuck together from being cold) that the crust broke apart in your hands. By the time you got the outer pieces out, they didn't even have crust left on them. To add more displeasure, since their pizzas are rectangular and cut in squares, we had an entire row that was missing all toppings. The way it was made, the sauce/cheese/toppings didn't reach the full pizza, so one full-cut row was just crust. So we paid $40+ for a cold, not satisfying, cardboard-dry pizza, that barely had toppings (even though you pay extra for all toppings). Not sure how you could let a pizza like that go out the door to a customer. I've had burnt pizzas from a bar...
Read moreThis place was very friendly . I'm here from Michigan. On a motorcycle. I'm staying in Delafield and it's right across the street from my hotel. I walked in to place a carry out at 830 pm to take it back to my room. It was a long day on the bike. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon and a piece of garlic cheese bread . I take the order on the bike. Back to my room. I open the bag while I jump in the shower so it didn't condensate . I come out. Get dressed sit down to eat. The garlic cheese bread is amazing .. Fries were well done the way I like them .. I take a bite of my sandwich ... Its very good, I goto to take a 2nd bite and realize there is no chicken on my grilled chicken sandwich.. I was a little disappointed as I paid 12 bucks plus a carryout tip .. I could have called, but I really wasn't going to put it back Together throw on some jeans, carefully put my carry out on the bike and go back. If I was done. The food was good The grilled cheese with bacon was good. Just didn't have the chicken . I have run service shops in the past and it is so hard to recover from 1 and 2 star reviews. I don't like to give them. I am plenty full. I'm sure they would have taken care of the situation. Remember folks .. You very well could be toying with someone's livelihood when you leave 1 and 2 stars. People make mistakes ,don't be so damn critical... Also if you have gone to a place a lot and whatever service and commerce you received was always great but then one time that same place didn't give you the awesome service you came to expect .. Don't go online and slam that place, ESPECIALLY if you NOT ONCE gave them a great review in the past..that's being a crappy person....
Read moreBeen coming here for nearly 20 years. Overall, a decent place. I wouldn't say it's a "must try" or that there's any "must haves" here. It's just a nice little place to go with a group of loved ones.
I think they've probably achieved the atmosphere they were going for. It feels cozy enough to relax but still open and friendly without feeling too exposed or crowded. It's not anything fancy or special but it does the trick.
The service is usually run by younger kids and adults who are learning their first job so they're not usually too organized or attentive. They are however well mannered and for the most part fairly competent. Again nothing special but it gets the job done without too many or large complaints.
The food is rather difficult to assess as there are some things they do rather well and others they should have never tried. Generally speaking most of their food isn't anything to write home about. As pizza places go they are better than the big chains but pretty par for local hand crafted food. Their subs are basically the same as anywhere that offers them. Their buffalo wings used to draw my friends and I here for the sauce but were always disappointingly small and brittle. The chickens must have been diseased babies whose bones would all snap in half with ease. They have recently changed to larger pieces that didn't break but then they were still over cooked tough and crispy. Honestly couldn't tell you if the sauce was even still the same. There are, however, a few gems of deliciousness on their menu. Like their breads,...
