I have been a loyal customer of this theater for over two decades, but my recent visit on May 20, 2023 left me deeply disappointed with the service and the condition of the facility. It was a Saturday night, yet the parking lot had fewer than twenty cars, indicating a significant decline in attendance.
To add to the disappointment, all of the fountain drinks I tried were completely flat. When myself and a few other customers expressed our concern, the staff disregarded our feedback and even drank from the fountain drink dispenser themselves, claiming that nothing was wrong. This lack of acknowledgement was frustrating and concerning.
Furthermore, the state of the bathrooms was appalling. Both the men's and women's restrooms were in complete disarray, with no towels available and at least one stall lacking toilet paper. It was evident that the maintenance of these facilities had been neglected.
The staff seemed disinterested in interacting with guests and appeared more engrossed in their own conversations. This lack of attentiveness further dampened the overall experience. As longtime patrons, we had hoped for better from Marcus, but based on the low attendance and poor service, it seems this might be a recurring issue.
This isn't the first time we've encountered such problems at this theater. In fact, it's the third time we've had a similar disappointing experience. As much as we enjoy going to the movies, this visit only reinforced the idea that staying home and watching movies is more...
Read moreUsually have a good experience overall. But yesterday at the concession stand I was treated very rudely by Nick! Sorry I didn't understand how the free popcorn worked, Nick. Sorry I didn't ask for my three free popcorns I was entitled to with paid admissions right away, Nick. After only being given one, I went back to the front of the line -- after having waited in it for 15 minutes already -- because I found out from another patron that you should get a popcorn for each paid admission when you give them your rewards card. Nick was rude and snapped at me that I should have asked for three. I felt like a child being reprimanded by my mother! I still tried to be polite and explained it was my first time there on a Tuesday (for a $5.00 movie and free popcorn) and didn't know how it worked. With a menacing face, he curtly asked how many more I needed before nearly tossing two additional containers at me. If I wasn't already late for the movie at this point, I would have sought out a manager. Put NICK behind the scenes at the reel...
Read moreWent to an R rated movie, expecting adults. Instead, we had a full row of teenagers behind us, all of whom looked to be about 12-14 years old. They were loud, the young girls talked and spilled candy and were throwing popcorn the entire movie. NO PARENT PRESENT!! I asked the attendants how such young children could be allowed into an R rated movie - and I was answered with "the parents send them in." So apparently, these parents are allowed to drop off their young children, give permission for their YOUNG child to see an R-rated (MOVIE FOR ADULTS) movie, and then they are allowed to LEAVE their children there UNATTENDED AND PICK THEM UP LATER?! I fully disagree with this policy - if Marcus wants CHILDREN in an R Rated movie - then a PARENT must be present with them! My husband and I try to get out once every few months, to be adults, to have a nice night - only last night, we had to BABYSIT OTHER PEOPLE'S DISRESPECTFUL AND...
