It is an oddity for me to leave an actual negative review, but sometimes you gotta. With a place that is on this level of grandness, accountability is extra important. So here goes. Randomly I will be brought home a whopper, a Dr pepper, and fry's. I am less then a 5 minute drive from the delafield location. That's why the problem comes in. The last few times I've been brought a burger it has come to me, patty cold and dry, While the bun is warmer then that patty. The condiments have also been lacking, but that's far too subjective. At first I figured, "well it's cold out. I can chalk it down to that" Then the second came, and it seemed weird that the bun wasn't cold. You see my background is in culinary so I got red flags from that, but still chalked it down to "the cold". Now, the one I got tonight came and the red flags happened again as the center of the patty was colder then the edges as well as the bun being warmer then the patty. As someone who's been a in the business my foodborn illness flags now were flown. Because I understand that the only food that comes cold in the center is un, or undercooked. Its just confusing to me that there is no quality control happening and seems to have been not happening for months. This isn't a "can I talk to you manager moment" this is a "can I talk to your managers manager moment" cuz management seems to be falling short. Also the nuggets at this location are also always dryer then dry. Hire the wage of someone who won't care, get employees who don't care. Your employees are under paid and over worked and it's shows in the quality. Im sure this can be a training experience more then disciplinary....
Read moreEating my meal as I type this review. Heading back to Madison after a long day of work with the hubby in Racine. We needed something quick and filling on the way home. Stopped in Delafield without a lot of expectations (figuring we were just getting standard fast food fare) - and honestly - we were impressed enough to write a review (which is saying a lot, as I rarely write reviews). Hubby had a big fish meal and me, a whopper without roughage or sauces. We both ordered the halvsies for our sides (fries and onion rings) - and honestly - it was the best BK meal I have had in life - and I am mid 40. (So I have seen a heck a lotta meals on the road. The deep fried sides were outstanding - the oil was super clean and everything tasted amazing. The staff was incredibly polite and it made our little side stop on the way home incredibly memorable. We walked in, just wanting something to fill us up after a long day, and ended up having a great experience from the staff to the food! Just wanna give some accolades to the crew, because they rocked it tonight! (And we are full, content and delighted with our meal...
Read moreSo this is the reason why BKs are going out of business. This restaurant is the definition of the bankruptcy of 400 stores. The first thing I ordered was the new candied bacon whopper. Not thawed and cannot sell it. You have a new promotion item to draw customers in your store and you can’t even sell it!! Go out of business you deserve it. So.. I ordered my food…. BK fish which is usually one of my goto’s. Got my large Diet Coke, and no ice cause the machine don’t work. Got my food. Fish sandwich and fries. Didn’t ask for extra or add one to the sandwich. Just a basic what you get fish sandwich. GROSS. more tartar sauce then bun, fish, pickles and lettuce. Fish was dry and over cooked. The only thing good was the ketchup made by Heinz. Heinz, you were the star of my meal. You let me eat all my not very crispy cold fries. Thanks Heinz!! Sad when ketchup was the star of the show. Kind of sick to my stomach now. I was starving so I cleaned my fish sandwich and ate it. Probably going...
