Burger King — Restaurant in DeLand

Have not gone to ANY Burger King in probably 3 years. Due to HORRIBLE food we received from the " bad" Burger King on South Woodland in De Land Fl.

Burger sounded like I was squeezing a soaped dirty sponge when bit in to it. And tasted like someone dropped it in a mop bucket. No exageration whatsoever.

Anyway , we've been wanting to try the Big King for a while. They keep showing that damned commercial on TV. It looked so good.

It wasn't .

But we went to the " good " Burger King at 1032 N.Woodland Blvd . De Land Fl. 32720 .

We asked for our entire order to be prepared freshly cooked. R.O.B. ( right off the broiler ) fresh fries and chicken nuggets etc.

In doing so the manager had to throw away some priduct that was already there in the warmers. Ya can't mix new and old. We truly appreciated them preparing all of our order fresh.

Nicole was the manager on duty. And Tonya ( not sure of appropriate spelling ) Tanya , maybe ? But they were so professional , curteous & helpfull .

We did not care for the buger. Thought it would be like the McDonalds Big Mac. Only bigger and better.

It was not.

We will however be returning to this Burger King based on the experience we had with the staff. Also the grill cook came over and said they'd make our sandwiches to order any time we came.

I would strongly encourage you to choose this Burger King over the other two in our area. De Land /...

Ok. I’m at the point where all these restaurant’s, fast food joints, bars, stores, etc…. are jacking up their prices and lowering customer service standards. I’m on a mission to at least try and hold these places somewhat accountable. This place is dirty…… floors, soda machines, bathrooms,,,, I came in and stood at the front counter for almost 5 minutes with no employees in sight. I had to stick my head into the back and call for someone to come out. He was polite at least…. Anyway. I ordered the chicken sandwich meal. I was given a cup full of ice that was covered in some kinda brown liquid. I asked for a new cup and the guy just wiped it off a little and handed it back to me…… I may have still choose a soda however the fancy soda machine with all the choices was 80% out of all choices. So dirty cup and no choices. I did not get a soda. Also I asked for my chicken fresh out of the fryer. Somehow it was ready rather quickly and way over cooked. Guess they missed the request even though he repeated it to me when I asked. The bun was rock hard. The onion rings were undercooked….. please….. these places need to get it together. Everyone works to hard, to spend way to much for garbage food and poor service. Do yourself a favor. Avoid this location. I know I will never stop...

23 October 2022 approx 1:20pm. Staff is polite, and accommodating.... But there are some management and service issues... 1) this particular location always seems closed and abandoned, never looks welcoming. 2) there were two transient/homeless people sitting in the back, just watching TV. They'd leave for a smoke, and come right back in to resume watching TV. No food... Just TV anc charging phones. Smelled like urine too. Yumm..... 3) restaurant is out of prepackaged ketchup and mustard, and has been forva while. Wait, wuuuuut??? A global chain hamburger restaurant is out of ketchup and mustard? Seriously? And didn't even tell us till we asked for ketchup for the fries after we received our food. This is not a problem at McDonald's, five guys, chili's, belly busters, checkers.... 4) asked for fresh, unsalted fries and was told that would be no problem.... Sat down to eat and had aged, room temp, limp salty fries. 5) I ordered a Big King with bacon combo #9. Supposed to have two pieces of cheese... One under each burger patty . I was only given one slice. 6) I wanted to have my meal "my way" but apparently the restaurant was out of that too.... Guess what, we won't be back. Better...
