If I could give no stars I would. I will never order from this Papa Johns establishment again! This wasn’t the first time they messed up, but my kids love PJ pizza so we decided to give them our business once more. Big mistake. I placed an online order for two medium pizzas at 7:00 pm , paid with visa checkout including tip, and received an estimated delivery time between 34-44 minutes. My husband and I left to go out, with kids waiting for pizzas to arrive. By 7:45 the pizzas had not arrived so I waited until almost 8pm to call the restaurant. I was put on hold for 10 minutes and when girl finally picked up, I told her that our pizzas had not arrived. She said they were very busy and that my pizzas were leaving the store. I asked why they hadn’t left and that why my ETA was not met and she wanted to continue to make excuses and never once wanted to make the situation right and then asked me if I still wanted the pizzas.? She said the driver was leaving right then and I should see the pizzas in about 20 minutes. At 8:30pm still no pizzas at my house, so my husband cakes and spoke to a manager. He apologized for the delay and said they should be arriving in 5 minutes. Fifteen minutes later, still no pizzas and we called again and this person said that our pizzas should be there, he would have the driver call us AND this was the ultimate lie, he told my husband that they did not receive our order until 7:30 through the online ordering. ( which I have proof this was a lie , because the pizza boxes have a time stamp on the label 7:05pm) Our pizzas finally arrived at 8:50pm! Almost two hours after ordering! A horrible experience, which forced my kids to start eating leftovers from our fridge because the food do not arrive in a timely manner. I understand that it was a Friday night, but it is unacceptable to have someone wait almost TWO HOURS to get delivery. I will never order from that location again, I will drive the 20 minutes to the Orange City location before I would give the Deland store my money. Read moreMy husband placed an order at 6:28pm through the online application. The tracker said it would be ready and delivered between 28-38 minutes. The order was prepared and sent out for delivery in about 10-15 minutes with an estimated delivery of 6:56-7:06 pm. At 7:15 I called the Deland store to check on our order. I spoke to someone about my order to verify it was on the way. They didnt seem to care that it was already past the time my order was supposed to be delivered and said it should be there soon. I asked to speak to a manager and again they didn't seem to care that I had been waiting now almost double the quoted delivery time. He refused to do anything and said the driver would be here soon. I told him I would give him a few more minutes but if it took to much longer or arrived cold I would be back on the phone. My order did not arrive until 7:31 and it was ice cold. I called back in and spoke to someone and they informed me that they would take care of the food for us. We informed the delivery guy of this while he was here. Then I received a call from their store saying that I was stealing pizza. I told the guy I spoke to all of this starting with me waiting to feed my hungry kids for more than double the quoted time of delivery, calling the store several times trying to find out where our food was, my order arriving ice cold, and being told that the manager would be taking care of our food for the inconvience. He called me a liar and told me that we could no longer order from there in the future. He sent the driver back out to get money for the order so I sent back our cold food because I refused to pay for our food that we waited over an hour for and it arrived cold and we were told that the manager would take care of it for us due to the inconvience. I will never be back to this location and I'm seriouly contemplating never going back to any Papa Johns location again. This was the worst experience I've had with any food delivery in my life. Read moreOrdered 2 pizzas last Saturday night, I was told it would be an hour before delivery, we said ok. Called at an hour and 15 minutes later, said they were right around the corner, And it took another 30 minutes from that time to be delivered. At that time the pizza was ice cold and disgusting, also never seen a pizza where the pepperoni is under the cheese when we didn’t order extra cheese. The driver said we could get them remade since it took so long but at this time it was 11 at night so no point in waiting another 2 hrs for our free pizza. Then for some reason, the driver then said he might be getting evicted for paying his rent 2 days late. We called the store and spoke with the manager that said we have 2 pizzas saved to our phone number that we could call back at a later date to redeem. Now today, a week and one day later, we called the assistant manager on shift who said their system doesn’t show it under our phone number, and would not give the customer decent service even though it’s their mistake again. He said we could call back in 4 hours when the other manager comes to work to ask him what happened?! This place is a joke.
