This store does not even deserve one star! Worst experience ever! First we attempted to order from the drive thru and there was a car at both windows. At first I thought the car in front of me, was having a difficult time deciding what to order. But after sitting for 15 minutes they pulled out of line and drove away... So we pulled up to the window and nothing, dead silence, my husband would even, ever so often, say hello and nothing. (We then noticed that the same car, that was at the second window, was also not moving) We waited an additional 10 minutes and still no response. So we pulled out of line and parked. Then when we went inside we noticed 4 angry customers complaining about waiting so long for their food. We decided to order from the Kiosk . We both ordered a double fish meal. We waited around 25 minutes for our food. The fries were cold but we ate them anyway, because the manager was telling the customers they were short staffed and was really annoyed when anyone asked her anything. I took one bite of my sandwich and it was extremely dry. I Removed the top bun and there was no tarter sauce on the sandwich. So I went to the counter and asked for a little tarter sauce, from an elderly lady working there. She was very sweet and seemed to be the only person working and trying to help the customers. I watched her carry food out to the cars and food to people waiting inside at the tables. The manager and the other employees were barely doing anything and looked very confused. One young girl working there was standing by the condiments and kept snapping her fingers and standing around as if she was listening to music. The elderly lady went back at 4 different times and asked for tarter sauce for me. But they just ignored her and said nothing and the manager just stood there silent. After 20 minutes my husband went to the counter and asked for some tarter sauce for me. The manager piped up and said " We have to charge you for it" my husband said, fine I will pay for it, even though it was never put on the sandwich to start with. Then manager said, "We are short staffed and have a seat". He came back to the table and then ate all his food and I ate all my fries, still no tarter sauce. My husband said just eat your sandwich they are never going to give you tarter sauce. I ate the dry sandwich all but one little bite, then the little old lady brought me a cup of what was supposed to be tarter sauce. (My husband was furious.) I decided to dip the last bite in the tarter sauce before leaving. I dipped the one bite left in the cup, only to discover it was mayonnaise.!!!!! This store needs leadership, starting with a new manager.. This happened...
Read moreI used to work at this particular McDonald's and I quit for the following reasons and WILL NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone! The maintence man Mike, (a big fat man), walks around all day instead of doing what he is supposed to do and hides most of the day in the storage room where all the bags and boxes are kept, a woman with a Lisp named Janet puts her bare hands in the boxes of frozen strawberries and takes a handful while the parfaits are being made by someone else, a woman named Sherri ,(a black woman who makes the apple pies and bisquits), cooks chicken nuggets and other foods and eats while she is cooking or making other food. ALL employees are supposed to pay for and eat meals in the break room, but an employee named Francheska will make the maintence man, Mike, (aka her husband), any food he wants and gives it to him to eat and he NEVER clocks out for breaks, and Francheska, Janet, Sherri as well as other employees will make any food they want to eat and eat in the dining area on breaks... I have reported this to the managers, (Marta, Melanie, Rachel, and Richard), but they also make all the meals they like to eat without out paying for it ad well...and when the person who is making parfaits and borritoes and doing food prep for lunch in the kitchen, the managers, (both Marta and Melanie), will tell the person to stop doing what they are doing and go deliver a food order to a car that drive thru was slow to expedite... then there is another employee named Leslie who drinks Vodka before work, during break and after work and is constantly drinking sips of vodka because she has a small bottle of it in her car... And when the kitchen and dining areas are to be mopped, there are 2 different mops, (a red for kitchen and blue for dining area), but the dining room mop is used for kitchen and kitchen mop for dining area often... Someone SERIOUSLY needs to come into the store and do an UNDERCOVER BOSS at this store because nothing is being done about these employees and it is the reason I quit working...
Read moreI've eaten at more McDonald's than I ever feel comfortable saying, but recently I've been going to this one as it's the closest one to me. I also hate giving bad reviews but after seeing a place be remodeled recently, maybe this will get noticed to John if he's still owns this one and the one in Deltona. After today I'd say it's safe to say I'll be going out of my way to go to orange City. The last three times I've been here something was wrong, either food, service, or time. Everyone in this store looks like they're going to off themselves at any minute, and asking for someone to fix something is like pulling teeth. The current visit, my total was 11 dollars and some change, the girl at the window gave me just the change and shut the window in a rush not realizing she owed me 8 bucks. After getting her attention she apologized and got a manager to open the drawer in which case she asked "three right?" And my reply was "eight". I said this twice because I had a weird feeling she didn't hear me. She started to get frustrated with me only to realize she forgot how to math. I eventually get my eight dollars, go to the second window, only to be given an iced coffee with like zero ice and barely any sugar. I drove home only to realize I was missing something from my order. So I drove back pretty upset but laughing to myself about the situation, they gave me what I missed, and I also requested a remake of the iced coffee. This iced coffee is now half sugar and all ice. The employees here really don't care and it's pretty obvious. Nobody says you need to keep a smile on, but the negative energy in the place is enough to make people leave for good and write negative reviews. To the owner: you should see what's going on with your employees or check up more, or get new ones, I'm sure I'm not the only one that has had an issue this week. Also every time I walk in the lobby is pretty gross compared to others in the area, and you always got a few employees either off duty or hanging out...
