Moe's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in DeLand

I have been dining at this Moe’s location for the past twelve years and cannot praise the staff enough. I am moving out of state and I will definitely miss the friendly faces at this location.

To me, good customer service is not a lack of mistakes (although that is definitely a plus). Good customer service is care for your customers and doing everything to rectify mistakes. In my twelves years here, they have only ever made two mistakes and both times they went above and beyond to fix the issues (fixing my order and then giving me an additional free meal for my next visit).

I would also like to give a special shoutout to Justin (if I remember correctly, he’s an assistant manager or a manager). He is extremely kind and provides amazing customer service. My roommate and I would often get “Moe’s Monday” via the app and Justin would always greet us and be ready with our order or politely let us know our order was in progress. He learned our names and cared about making sure we had a great customer experience.

If I were to have one complaint, it is not about this establishment but about Moe’s in general. I miss the yellow cheese. The new white cheese is not sharp enough for my liking, especially in a quesadilla. Either way, this is a minute thing and does not affect my feelings about this specific location.

As I move out of state I want to thank the staff of the DeLand Moe’s for a great twelve years and I wish the staff the best in the future.

Had a promo for a free bowl, so I stopped by to try. It was ready in the pick up area and absolutely gigantic! I still cannot believe the size of this burrito bowl. Grabbed some salsa and sauces to try as there is a decent sized self serve bar and little cups with kids nearby. (love the green sour cream one, no cilantro!) I absolutely will be back, the steak homewrecker bowl was so massive it took me two days to finish and I had to add half a pack of my own tortillas, just massive. There were fresh fried tortilla chips on the side which were great too, used them to scoop the bowl up like a dip for two meals. One star is missing because the drinks were down but i hope that's rectified next time, I'm definitely coming back. Will skip the guacamole though, I guess they use cilantro in it because it was like biting into a bar of Irish spring or something. Easy parking and while the door may be an issue for wheelchairs if you can pull the door yourself - or call when you're in the lot and they can hold the door for you. Clean...

All was well until I got home and realized he didn’t give me the 2 drinks I asked twice for and paid $4.18 to get. Ok, it happens... Even though $2.09 is a massive rip-off for a fountain drink. I am the first person to forget stuff so no biggy. Then I open the bag with the Large 6 Oz Queso to see no more than 20 chips. Are you serious right now? The cheapest part of this meal and you can’t even fill a 1/4th of the bag? I’ve been a Moe’s fan for years, converted many Chipotle people over and you do me like this? I feel pretty stupid because I wasn’t paying attention to your employees but instead reaching in my wallet to get you a $6.00 “Gas Money” tip which you didn’t deserve. Next time I’ll save MY gas money and go somewhere else. 1 star is being generous.. $37.00 ticket with a large queso for $2.38 and you give me 20 chips. I’m just wondering what I’m supposed to do with the remaining 5oz seeing as how I paid extra to get queso on each meal, for who knows how much more. You fell off, Moe... You...
