Fresh Bagel Delight — Restaurant in Delaware

Nice looking place, staff is friendly but the food is absolutely abismal. How can you charge me 9 dollars for something that I could have walked over to Acme grabbed the cheapest bag of bagels went home cracked one egg and thew a couple of pieces of bacon and a slice of wrapper cheese on it and it would have been far better than what they served to me and charged me for. Are you kidding me? The bagel was ridiculously small and dry. I barely had a piece of egg on the thing however the bacon was the best part of this disaster and oh, the cheese. I have no problem ever paying a premium price for something of the best quality. A great steak, and nice bottle of wine, a good bourbon or scotch. However, at least give me what I paid for. My family and I lived near here for years. The everything bagels are our fave, and I just happened to be in the area today, so I wanted to stop by and grab some! They don't allow you to get 6 of any flavor in a half dozen unless you call it in the night before, which I sort of get because the man says they're making less quantity now (prolly due to Covid), but that was still disappointing. The scallion cream cheese is amazing. What bothers me most is I watched him serve me with gloves on, take my money with those gloves on, and then proceed to the next customer with those same gloves on. Money is notoriously dirty, but in the time of Covid, that is a MAJOR health risk, and I won't ever come back here again if they're that casual about not following safety protocols. How many people are being served bagels and food with dirty gloves?

This place has mice and roaches.

Illegal business that does not pay taxes.

Beware of what you support. You always have a choice.

Looks can be deceiving, the owner is always out of the country for a reason.

Support legitimate American businesses!

Cashier always has an attitude, you can’t order online, you can’t order door dash.

Very shady business practice.

Prices are high and their oven doesn’t even work so how can they bake the bagels fresh.

Store hasn’t been updated in 20 years because the owner is too cheap and rather spend money in Peru.

Not an American business, beware. You always have a choice with your American Dollar.

Don’t support foreigners.

Food is expensive and they up charge for everything.

I would not trust their food...
